What a trash lifter! Just when you think you’ve seen the least self-aware person ever, someone like this comes along, a clearly sub-mediocre lifter seriously pondering why women can’t bench very much. I’m patiently waiting for his next video where he wonders why other women don’t have nearly as big of a crotch bulge as he does.
When ignorance joins forces with confidence bad outcomes will follow. This notion explains a lot of the problems we have today.
To continue, something paradoxical goes on with various radical movements. Women (certainly not all, and likely a minority of them), serve as proxy warriors for them, only to find out later the consequences harm them in the end.
This is a good point, and I wish that women (talking to myself here too) would see honesty as a form of compassion. But many of us are so afraid of hurting someone’s feelings that we’ll pretend like someone’s delusions are reality. We’ll use terms like “your truth” and “my truth” instead of stating THE truth and standing by it.
Men are complicit too. Perhaps most will not like this statement (that’s fine), but I believe many men have the souls of women and have been infected with political correctness to the point in which they have to look left and right before making a decision or expressing thoughts in order to get the OK for fear of being politically incorrect, which amounts to having mean things said about them. That has been shown in threads over and over (eg, “I’m not discriminative, but…,” “I’m not sexist but…”). Here we agree that female proxy warriors are naive, when it is men’s role to protect people rather than to indulge in their misguided altruism or give them whatever they ask for.
My 11 month old son already weighs more than my 2.5-year-old daughter. He is also stronger and can take things from her and she struggles to get it away from him as he giggles thinking it is a game.
He also likes to smash things to oblivion and laugh and in general is A LOT rougher already than her.
It is almost like there are differences in males and females from birth.
I’ve never considered this but will be mulling over it for sure. I may need to copy and paste that into my notes app. Political correctness is like an infection, totally agree, but I hesitate to blame men.
I tend to blame generations and circumstances.
For instance, maybe political correctness is caused by being raised by parents who coddled us, and therefore gave us a special sensitivity and fear of hurting peoples’ feelings.
But maybe those parents were coddling because they had the time and resources to be that way.
We feel the need to announce that we’re not sexist or discriminative before stating opinions to make sure everyone feels like they’re in a “safe space” even though it’s perfectly safe and nobody is physically harmed.
And ironically, the only real way to toughen up is to be exposed to more dissenting opinions and even mean words. Hearing them and letting them slide like water off a duck’s back is becoming a super power. But now everyone is offended — not just for themselves — but on behalf of other people.
Every generation seems to be going this way. We’re growing in empathy, but also becoming more weak minded.
Sticks and stones are apparently not as harmful as words anymore. Say the wrong word and someone will feel justified to kill you. And this violence will be applauded by others who can’t tolerate hearing a mean word.
It all reminds me of this quote that I can never remember, so I copied it:
“Hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, and weak men create hard times.”
And in this case I tend to see “men” as all of mankind. But if we were all dealing with truly hard times, would we be so offended by political incorrectness or so afraid to be politically incorrect? I don’t think so. We’d be busy surviving.
Yikes, sorry this was all over the place.
Another question: is it possible that easy times lead to the spread of relativism?
We conducted an informal poll on T Nation Instagram. It said something like:
“Should biological men be allowed to compete against biological women in sports?”
It was over 90% “no!”
But then we got some comments from the small percentage who voted yes. And this is where it got interesting.
Many who voted yes agreed it was completely unfair for all the reasons being discussed above, BUT they voted yes because, “This is what women get for wanting to be treated equally! Ha ha!”
Or, they thought women deserved to lose because, as discussed above, many women are supportive of “trans-rights” and all of the usual progressive ideas that surround it. Again, the general idea was that women deserved this.
I don’t really like that shitty attitude. Yes, there’s some schadenfreude here. I admit, I kinda enjoy seeing a progressive, woke woman lose a “Woman of the Year” award to a dude wearing woman-face. Ha ha.
But good men are, by nature, protectors of women. And many times, we protect women against other men. These men are hurting women and women’s sports. And that makes us want to slap a bitch… a bitch with a schlong at least.
His most recent fun thing to do is to grab any remotes or anything with batteries that he can spike on the floor and have it fly apart to get to the insides.
It doesn’t just affect women but girls who never voted for anything ever. It’s easy to say blame women, and I admit I have as they are the prime movers behind woke culture, but no one asks the actual female athletes how they feel. It’s always some non athlete chiming in about how brave these trans athletes are.
I mean, Martina Navratilova spoke out and she was crucified by the non athletic woke mob.
