This young guy (21) is working @ my place of business as an intern. They are allowed to dress casually. So he comes in yesterday wearing flip flops and …pants rolled to mid calf like capri pants!
So i say to him “dude, your wearing capri pants?”
He says no, guys wear these…
“Capri pants???”
“no i got these @ j crew”
“i dont care where you got them, they are womens pants!”
WTH!?!?!?
If j crew starts selling lacy bra’s for men will guys start wearing those too???

I think the worldview needs some direct attention once the lines of sexuality become so crossed that it’s perfectly fine for grown men to dress and act like women and no one sees a problem with this. If it were making us stronger as human beings as a result, I am sure more would be all for it. However, something tells me that when war pops off, most aren’t looking to the guy wearing eye shadow in capri pants to save us all.

Well, they?re missing a huge opportunity here cause we all know one of the main elements of attack is the element of surprise. So what could be more surprising than the 1st Battalion Transvestite Brigade? Airborne wing ? the airborne wing parachuting into dangerous areas with fantastic makeup! And a fantastic gun. And the opposing forces going, ?Fuckinell, look at these guys. Hey? Suckaaas. They?ve got guns! They?ve got guns! Jesus, wha ? they?ve got guns!? Ahhh, bugger. I was so surprised. Were you surprised? I was surprised.
Can’t take credit for that. That’s Eddie Izzard. The guy is freakin’ hilarious.

Got the Capri pants beat. I was getting a driver’s license and a dude comes in wearing a skirt. It looked like something Polynesian…but this was in Oklahoma.
Every person (at least 50) started laughing, while “Nancy” acts oblivious to the fact. Several people had their phone cameras rolling for a laugh later on.

I get your point, Neph. But capris??? Come on, that’s just wrong.[/quote]
But they weren’t capris. He said they were rolled up LIKE capris. And there are some cargo pants that don’t look like women’s pants, but also don’t reach the ankle.
Some people are just a little too concerned about what other dudes are wearing, btw. Since when was it masculine to criticize some dude’s outfit?

(sigh) Neph, can’t we just make fun of a guy wearing carpis without the obvious short legged cargo pants and clam digger point of reference. Geez, what a buzzkill.
Back in the 80’s we wore “clam diggers”. In Corpus Christi, Texas we weren’t allowed to wear shorts to school so we wore these pants that were basically baggy bermuda shorts (the more colorful the better) that went down just past the knees almost mid calf. Basically it was a realy long bathing suit. Definately NOT capris, just long shorts or really short high-water pants.

Yeah Neph, take off your capris and take them to goodwill, nobody would be mad atcha…
As for the huck-finn reference. Back then they’d start out as long pants, but as they got too frayed and muddy they’d cut them off. It wasn’t stylish, it was becuase they were poor.
