The Dreamers, DACA and Immigration

Hi Silyak. There’s some talk from the GOP about a path to citizenship over 10-12 years and I’m not sure what that would look like. I assume it would involve green cards, then eventually citizenship for people who have kept out of the criminal justice system. Not sure of other requirements in terms of education or work.

I dont think booting criminals is bad. But wasting time & money on some house cleaner that got traffic crap is a big waste. Ive read some of these criminals were class C misdemeanors… Not exactly face tattd ms13 sicarios…as far as penalizing businesses its a joke…if you eat fruit, hamburgers, stay in hotel rooms, or live in a house…chances are illegals were involved. The reality is we need them. Not the face tattd gangsters…but we need the people that do what we wont. Its not politics its just reality…especially when economy good…aint nobody signin up for those shit jobs…and businesses like proffits so its a wasted discussion.

Bullshit. People will do what needs to be done. I’ve cleaned shit, I have done nasty jobs and if I can do it anyone can.
Jobs we won’t do, do not exist. Who ever is to proud to do what needs to be done, deserve to be knee deep in the shit they throw away.
I am not to proud to do what must be done. Nobody should be.
We don’t need illegals to clean up our crap, we need to clean our own crap, not victimize immigrants to do it.
That’s what I am talking about. That is abuse. Using human trafficking to do what we are too ‘proud’ to do is abuse to those we are pretending to help by jumping the fence. It’s abuse, it’s sickening and it’s not much better than slavery itself.
We can clean our own shit, we don’t need to sneak in ‘shit cleaners’ out of foolish pride.

They come here for hope but they become victims. Victims who sometimes get pissed off and turn to crime… And I don’t blame them when they have had enough of their shit treatment.

Human trafficking has to stop, illegal immigration is one major form of it. Stopping it doesn’t hurt the immigrants as much as the traffickers on both sides. They stand the most to lose if we protect our southern border.

All the good natured leftists protecting these criminal acts are protecting the worst humanity has to offer. Not the immigrants, but those who stand to gain off the sweat, blood and toil off their frail backs. You want to protect these least of God’s people? Stop the abuse of illegal immigration. Stop human trafficking on our southern border because that’s what it is and that is all it is.

Immigration reform helps everyone, most of all would be immigrants who too many are hungry to abuse for cheap labor.

It’s not that Americans won’t do these jobs, it’s that it takes a certain type of American to do them: poor and desperate…sort of like many of the immigrants who come and have always come here.

Aint gonna happen bro… Nobody’s paying white boy prices for shit work… Your living in a fantasy world. It will be a cold day in hell when I pay someone more than $100 a day for demo work. But what do I know i just live in reality

Not exactly true… If I run ads on Craigslist for labor gigs…I get white trash turds & black guys that bitch all day… The day laborer crowd works circles around these guys… Ill take a hard working Mexican immigrant over a meth head any day. Its just better quality workers.

True to a point. But you’re paying under the table cash jobs. You’re literally breaking dozens of labor laws. Of course the only natives who want that kind of gig are bottom of the barrel. And illegals don’t care about laws.

Meth heads aren’t desperate?

So basically you are making money on the backs of illegals, too. Got it.

Thats the construction biz when your not corporate…and Fyi I see the same high dollar construction firms doing the same shit. At the end of the day ditches need dug. Thats the real America

Shit, I do side work for that kind of money on occasion (allegedly) and I don’t even smoke meth. Cash money at the end of the day is very appealing.

But by and large you’re right. Most Americans have a shit work ethic these days. I used to move office furniture with a guy in his late 70’s. People were like, what can HE do? More than the half dozen twenty somethings we tried.

Dont get me wrong…there is decent native labor help. But in large…they are slow, complain all day & ask for money when not done. Many times they bail on the job. Hispanic day labors move fast. So they can get back to corner and grab more work. The key is to pay by job not hr. Gringos milk it thinking a sob story means day 2 work. Thats why tell no finish no pay.

Its a sad mindset that a lot of people have. They hear $100/day and think that they can sandbag it into a couple of days.

I hear $100/day and think- “I have five hours to make $20/hr.”.I just did a job like that weekend before last. The guy wanted 3 large oak trees that had been cut moved and stacked for firewood. He doubled it when he realized how much he underestimated what was there.

My father made more than 20 dollars an hour working construction…in the 70s.

Lincoln freed the slaves.

Unless it was illegally or he ran work, no he did not.

No trade (journeyman level) made $20 an hour.

Maybe you live in a right-to-scab state, but my old man was Operating Engineers Local 3 and was north of $20/hr. before 1980.

My father was in operating engineer local 478. He was able to buy a rental property and the mortgage was less than 250 a month.

Its really not relevant. Union guys get hrs but non union stuff is paid by job. The contractor agrees to a price. The owner or El patron never knows what his workers get. Much less they dont care. Hourly work in the cash private sector is “un sstandard abor” They get market price. They tell you prices at labor pick up spots. Like demo $10 roof $15 septic $15…Skill guys bid jobs. Then its a negotiation with boss. Make sense now… And if you live in a house…this is how it got built or remodeled. Pretty standard its called sub contracting.
In a nut shell you use day laborers for demo then skill guys work…then they get used again for job site clean up & landscaping…then sell house & go to Barbados

What is your point?

Is it in line with the side work/ work ethic part of this convo that Me, HH, and Uncle Gabby were on, or are you starting your own little spur line?

Or do you think a couple hundred dollars on a Saturday is something to sneeze at?
