The Disappearance of T Nationers

I used to be into fitness might have to get back to it, long distance running that’s what I used to enjoy before I had trouble with my left knee.
I had my arthroscopic op roughly 4 or 5 years perhaps it’s time to try running again!

I sometimes miss the Professor X days and the days in which there was a lot of activity on the forums. I liked a lot of the content discussed considering there were quite a few people who truly loved bodybuilding and discussing pro bodybuilders and shows.

I’m talking about the days in which threads were just going and going by the hour. I SORT OF miss the days of Professor X and I getting on each others’ nerves. I mean, there were some epic threads in which he was involved that can provide anyone with entertainment til this day.

There’s no way I would indulge in that stuff now.

I am still here, obviously, but at the moment I cannot post as much as I once did, though I do want to. I will likely be able to start posting more later this year.

That magazine was awesome… for some time.

Class of 04 here…damn I’m getting old.

Some of us are still here, just less frequently and definitely post less. My Olympic Lifting forum has slowed to a trickle. I was just going through some of the old posts and discussions and was becoming nostalgic of the old days.

New Years Resolution…Old timers need to start posting again.

'04 here too. Now a days I just lurk and creep waiting for the day Prof X comes back to join the crusade against him

Class of… '02? Wow. Yeah, I disappeared in October of '05 just because life situations dictated. Lots has happened. A lot of “don’t follow in my footsteps” kind of stuff. In my mid-50’s now, came back to look for some info on natural support and muscle retention. My main gig is cycling (as in BIcycling, not chemicals). Full time engineer, daughters at 17 (soon) and 4, 3+ acres and a new house demand time. Also a part time custom bike frame builder. And put on a couple of rides a year.

Yeah, the BITD crowd, names I don’t even remember. Some great conversations. I remember on epic post where people were talking about how to get revenge on folks. Holy shmoly! Wouldn’t want any of those people pissed off at me – talking about stuff that would absolutely DESTROY people’s lives.

Met Patricia and Ko back in '05 also, cool people. I think they exited not long before I did, for their own reasons. I remember one dude whose wife was going through some big spine issues, surgeries, and then apparently she went off the deep end with affairs and such. He disappeared.

Good to be back. But I won’t be logging much of anything. It just ain’t that impressive.

Don’t fear, I’ve returned.

You’re welcome.

Surely the disappeared are the ones who finally left humanity behind for a better future as a goddamn BEAR?

I believe they finally got up the nerve to FIGHT a bear after debating and considering it for what, a decade? One by one, into the woods they went to find out, once and for all, whether a protein-fueled, testosterone-pumped bodybuilder could take a 350 lb bear.

I think it’s very clear, given their lack of return, that a man cannot successfully fight a bear. Not sure about 100 men, unless we posit that they went out as a group to find out. If so, same thing, or they’d have reported back with pics and/or video.

Couple things - did they decide it was to be fought bare-handed (i.e. no tools/weapons)?

What would constitute a successful fight (i.e. to the death - getting the bear to run away)?

I’m asking “for a friend”

100 men could definitely kill a bear. 99 hold it down while one just bare knuckle beats it to death

So you say, but if so where are the T Nationers who achieved this victory?

I’m not sure. It would be helpful if the combatants would come in to report, that way we could all adjust our expectations appropriately in the event of a bear attack, e.g. if it turns out hand-to-hand is impossible, presumably you’d want to pick up a stick.

Personally I’d be happy with a bear just running away, but I really have no stomach for blood sports, so take it for what it’s worth.

If i say that i miss the old SAMA crowd, would that make ya’all think less of me?

It would be difficult, nigh impossible, to think less of you.

So…you’re saying that the T Nationer’s hand was gnawed, and now as a result he can’t post?

I’m trying to think which T Nationer was from Minnesota…

Class of 2004. Fond memories of putting chicken in a foreman grill, utterly unseasoned, and wondering why it didn’t taste like KFC.

I AM SERIOUS.

We had a pic section to drool over hot fitness babes - looks like the PC police got to that too.

Posted in the Injuries section a few months back and since had the grand total of ONE dude reply with “I don’t know, but this is my story”. When I joined you’d have had a dozen replies from as many different people in a week.

Standout site back in the day but dying out, sadly.
