Things have been going really well this week…although I have not been getting my calories steady like I would like to they dropped a bit for a few days…One noticable change I have made to my diet is eliminate one P+C meal a day except on WO days…so my normal days NWO days have 2 P+C meals and 3 P+F meals on average…My WO days have 3 P+C meals 2 of which are pre/post workout shakes split and PWO solid meal an hour later…
Anyways here is my stats
Weight :288.4 (a 2.6lb drop!)
Bf%: 31.7% (Down .4%)
(if you compare it to last weeks measurements you can see that nearly every one of them went down except my arms)
Another thing I have been doing to make sure I get in my fats is eating oil packed tuna (olive oil) that has been taking care of the fats…also eating 7-8 omega eggs a night helps! in my P+F meals…
Good job, Pugs!!! I see the momentum building. (grin)
Your protein intake is looking GOOD!!! As far as your carbs go, I’m all for your cutting out a starchy carb meal out of your day, but there’s a reason I want you eating 3 P+C meals. You should be eating a serving of fruit at every one of your P+C meals. It doesn’t have to be a lot – a serving is only 100 calories – but get it in. I’m doing it to keep blood sugar levels stable and mental energy/alertness high. It also keeps cravings at bay.
Make sure you’re getting your serving of beans every day (at whatever meal you are hungriest), too. And of course, you’re allowed unlimited fibrous green veggies.
So bottom line? Cut out one of the two starchy carb meals you’re allowed each day, but don’t cut fruit, beans or fibrous green veggies.
It has been a bit now since I posted…no I have not fallen off the wagon…
Actaully my internet has been down and I have not posted on here in a while…because of it!
I do not have my journal in front of me , but I had one week where I ran out of money and food so that week was not good…but this past week I lost almost 2 pounds and am at 287.8 I believe …which was down from 289.4 a week ago and my measurements are going down as well so I will keep trucking along! Ill keep you guys updated!
I love how you just keep dropping weight week after week after week. The CONSISTENCY with which you’re doing this is what I’m so darn thrilled with. Can you image the kind of shape you’re going to be in by Christmas?!?!
And it’s not that you have to wait until Christmas to like what you see. Along the way you’ll start seeing the results of your effort and discipline. You’ll have to start buying smaller sized clothes. And then you’ll realize your profile (body shape) is changing for the better.
Believe me, the journey can be just as much fun as the destination.
I got off the band wagon…big time…I had some financial difficulty recently and was forced into eating nothing but Pb and J and Ramen…can you say a recipe for weight gain! Not to mention my gym membership going into collections…again no excuses me fault not my circumstances…
I have just got done reading Joel Marions Cheat to Lose Diet book and I can honestly say I truly in my heart of hearts think this will be the way that I will reach my goal weight… and keep it off…its an amazing book, but also very practical as far as stick-ability…
Again these are just targets for all I know I could lose 4 lbs a week for all however many months…these targets are subject to change as results compile…but they are challenging enough that it will take work to complete them by their date…but not overzealous to lead to dissappointment and frustrations…
and so my Journey starts…
“We are what we repeatedly do, Excellence then is not an act, but a Habit” Aristotle
Also any bashing for getting myself in this position , as long as its constructive…will not cause offense in me…
Good luck! I am interested to see your progression. You seem to have a good grasp on your diet. I am a bit concerned about your training, though. You seem to be a rather detailed person, but I think it is time to go mad in the gym. Throw precision out the window and train hard. Don’t train till you drop, but train 'til you damn near drop.
It is so important to train hard where you are at. Your progress will be much faster in combination with a clean diet.I assume you are a relatively well trained person already so what I recommend may sound bizarre but I believe it will jump start your progress. If you have the stomach for it I recommend Poloquin??s super accumulation program.
The reason I recommend it is because it is rediculously intense, but it will jump start you progress. Now, if you haven’t been training a whole lot, then I’d suggest doing some TBT and plain ol’ cardio. Stagger it out to about 5 days a week.
Good luck and train real hard.
Week one went well guys…Heres my stats at the end of the week…all Low Carb first week
Start Weight 310.6
Did my three cardio sessions…although not 18mins…except the last ones…Im horrible out of cardio shape…I would do 3 mins off and 1 on and Ill gradually work to 2 min on and 2 mins on…
I did do two quick weight sessions alla Chad Waterbury…
Heres my ending weight: 303lbs even a 7.6lbs loss…
I also lost 1.75 inches x each side of my body= 3.5 inches total
Strangely though my Legs gained an inch split between the two of them…and My arms gained a half inch between the two of themm…
Hey Guys Week 3 results are in things are going awesome!!!
I started the diet with full glycogen stores and weighed in at 310.6 and I ended week three (the High GI week) with Full glycogen stores(eliminating the possibility of water weight shifting)…yet I have lost a total of 7.6lbs lighter weighing in at 303 even…
My measurements have also dropped about an inch total on the 4 measurement sites…a quarter inch here a quarter inch there…the cheat day was awesome and felt fantastic! today was my first Low Carb day…onto week 4!
Week 4 results are in guys…had full glycogen stores last week and weighed in at 303…Full Glycogen stores this week and weighed in at 300.8! 2.2 pound loss and last saturday I pigged out like a king! I also lost one full inch as well off my body whereas my extremities gained 1 and a quarter inches per side…my legs gained 1 inch on each (prolly from the running)
Week 5 Results are in…weighed in at 301 nearly identical to last week with all the same measurements…minus my hips got a quarter inch smaller, and my arms were 1 quarter inch smaller…
My weight and measurements pretty much stayed the same …I did lose a half inch on my chest and a half inch on my legs each…despite this I did look a bit leaner…not sure why
I cut out all no diet foods that I shouldnt have been consumed on that particular day…
I am not sure why I didn’t lose more weight or measurements than this…the only thing that I was not able to do was I was in the hospital for a day and wasnt feeling very well the other (been overcoming horrendous migraines) and was not able to do the cardio on the two days after my cheat like normal…
Although I was able to do two cardio days and one weight training day
The other thing I did change was I started a colon cleanser this week…which would only help with weight loss I would think…
