There’s a joke about building one house or sucking one dick.
I didn’t post that. You’re reading into my post.
I would argue the ordinary man as he has access to a lot more women. Look at Bezos, he had to settle for a woman who looks like a tranny. A dude at college has access to more women than a celebrity or CEO.
No, but things like this tend to be on a spectrum. There are some women that basically want a man that is a woman in a man’s body for example. Non masculine traits. This is a minority. I agree with you for the most part, just the “universally” caught my attention.
I think they are popular despite their looks. Kpop is weird, I don’t understand it, but being in a popular music group can do a lot for a guy (regarding women).
I don’t think many of the guys that were in boy bands 25 years ago were particularly attractive. Probably the same as with Kpop, there is a lot of status attached to it.
But I am a dude, so I can make guesses at what makes women tick, but I don’t really know.
I actually saw a study about this. Their fans are mainly pre-teens. The study said that girls think effeminate boys are cute and find more masculine traits unattractive. When puberty hits, they shift toward masculine traits. This increases as they get older. Well, unless they get on chemical birth control, as many teen girls do for the treatment of acne (bad idea). That can shift natural perceptions.
To be fair, if you’re using tinders numbers as backing you have to consider the composition of tinder, which is pretty broad, and include it in your considerations.
Otherwise you have a lack of analogy between your statement and the information backing it up.
didn’t you also say that you don’t think social media has any weight in people’s beliefs (something to that extent)? if not here, then in another thread?
“More than 60 percent of young men are single, nearly twice the rate of unattached young women, signaling a larger breakdown in the social, romantic and sexual life of the American male.”
Two explanations we can gather from this:
Quasi-polygamy in which women are actually sharing high-status, thrilling, or handsome men.
This reminds me of a thread or post somewhere a while back about women loving Brad Pitt’s fight club physique and all the guys just couldn’t accept it. “He’s built like a twink” It’s what most women like
No, I said I don’t believe social media is as influential on society/culture as people think, which is consistent with what I wrote above, but was perhaps not very clear.
I think thots on social media skew people’s perception on what actually happens in real life. Meaning, the Hoes you see on Instagram are not representative of the way women are, generally, in real life.
