Also: let’s not forget that essentially all “Great People”, male and female, are “standing on the shoulders of giant”. They are only in the situation they are in, with the abilities they have, because of the generations of ancestors before them, both male and female, and because of the structures and organisations of the societies around them. Put Isaac Newton or Marie Curie in a hunter gatherer tribe in 10,000 BC if you want to see the impact of all those giants shoulders.
I’m not suggesting that @BrickHead is against female education (he isn’t)
both would do VERY poorly ![]()
I suspect that if you did it from birth, they would do very similarly to any others.
true
Thanks for the post. I believe you have an advantage in absorbing unpleasant information because you do not immediately veer off into emotions.
Your post proves my point. Whatever restrictions women had on them were placed on them by men and removed by men. So all education of and innovation by women came after men allowed them to do so.
We didn’t need your permission because as a group you couldn’t subordinate us.
See?
ahh makes sense
So you’re saying women submitted to what the men put in place?
Yeah. There wasn’t much of a choice.
There were also codes of conduct which kept men in check too, which I’ve gone over.
There seems to be a notion that men could do as they pleased when they were actually kept in check and restricted by other men.
and that was because men built the systems of civilization?
Yes, though I guess you can say women had a huge part in high-investment parenting.
I suggest if really want to understand all this, start with the first book on that list. It will also show you the “dating scene” and potential marriage problems young men will have to deal with. The author popularized the term hypergamy.
It really seems like an attribution fallacy to point at women exercising free and God given rights as the root cause of the net changes to society and the world.
Basically comes out as “See? We cut them loose and look what they did.” Which is more a rationalization for wanting to subjugate women than any explanation for differences in social norms brought on by technological advancements which were, in large part, created by men.
I mean, it’s actually a massive and protracted exercise in hubris if you look at it framed in “God given rights” light, because it is the actions of men who took them away.
The way of the superior man?
Sexual Utopia in Power: The Feminist Revolt Against Civilization. It’s available on bn.com. @aldebaran
See my list I posted.
I never heard of the book you mentioned.
@SkyzykS I’ll try to respond later or tomorrow. I’m about to do the pumpkin picking thing with the fam.
Have fun! As an experiment, we grew our own this year!
Actually still have 2 more to pick. ![]()
When are one of y’all ladies mans in here gonna teach me how to pick up the super hot ones from the gym?
Already tried @BrickHead ’s “you should be lucky to work and drive a car” approach but it didn’t pan out.
help them put away/load plates
Should I stand there and watch them finish their set or creep from afar?
I’d say discretely do your workout close to them, then when the opportunity arises, hop in
Compliments on effort or strength pay dividends too
I’m going to the gym tonight. I’ll report back my findings
Spot them on dead lifts!
