I like how the next Batman movie demands good acting and quality actors - haha… serves those anti-superhero critics ~

The bar has been raised. There’s no screwing around with superhero movies anymore. At least I hope not.
Screw the critics anyway. Most of them don’t have a clue about comics. I read a negative critique of The Dark Knight from a critic where they actually said they reason they didn’t like it was because the subject matter was ‘too dark’. As if they were expecting a movie about Batman to be cheery and bright. Clearly someone who didn’t have a fucking clue about comics and wasn’t qualified at all to give an opinion on a movie based on a comic character.
I wouldn’t give a rat’s ass about the rumours regarding Depp or Seymour Hoffman. These rumours did go around even before TDK started principal photography. The “news” that Nolan will direct a third batman movie is also BS.
The guy always keeps things very quiet about his new projects. It would all be very cool if it were true, but these are rumours that were based on rumours that were based on rumours that etc…
To the guys that were asking about which batman-comics were a good introduction, I would recommend (in this particular order)
-Year One
-Haunted Knight
-The Long Halloween
-The Killing Joke
-Dark Victory
-Arkham Asylum
-Hush
-The Dark Knight Returns

Or he liked Joel Schumockers versions.

Somehow I doubt it. The critic was a woman. Not that women aren’t comic readers, but she then went on to say in the review that she preferred her comic movies to be more colorful and funny, like Iron Man and Fantastic Four.
I got the vibe she was the type of woman that likes a football team because she likes the color of their uniforms.

I’ve had that saved up for a while. I was waiting for someone else to say it though.

Needs a pic to go with it.
SPOILER
OK, did the joker switch the addresses he gave? Friend said he noticed that he switched them, I missed it. Basically, did batman actually try to go to save rachel but got the wrong address?
Just saw it.
Everybody is saying how awesome Ledger is.
Now, I am not going to knock the guy, because he did a very good job, but you have to give some props to the writers of the story.
No way Ledger came up with ALL of that on his own. They wrote a really amazing screenplay that leaves you thinking afterwards.
Also- more credit needed in Alfred’s department. He was good in the previous movie, and he was excellent is this installment.
Finally- If this movie, starring the Joker was this creepy, the one starring the Riddler may just turn into an outright horror flick.

Apparently he came up with nearly all the ‘tics’ and everything else about the Joker (i.e. licking his lips, the laugh, the voice).

That’s awesome.

Great movie, though I lolled prettymuch everytime Batman opened his mouth…
HAHHAHAHA, excellent!
His mannerisms where actually a decent imitation of The Jokers’.

I hate PSH with a passion; his voice bugs the shit outta me.
Again, some people called this movie the second coming of Christ - it wasn’t. It was no Godfather 2, let alone ‘better than’ Godfather 2. It was just good, but with a ton of hype.[/quote]
Everyones entitled to their opinion, and I would have to disagree. I easily find this to be one of the best cinematic experiences I have had the pleasure to see in quite a long time.
I didn’t read between pages 12 and 19, but i gotta ask, did anyone else think that both of the ferrys would press the button, but the joker, as a prank, actually had them holding their own detonators to blow their own ships up? seemed to me like the sort of thing he’d do.

I figured that both would have blown up regardless of which detonator was activated.

That’s what I was expecting.
