His abusive father did it or he did it to match his gambler wife’s after she couldn’t pay her debt.

LOL.
I love how they only did two. They could have overdone it and had him come up with like 5 different stories. This way, just enough people missed it that it makes it worth watching again.

He would’ve told a third but Batman had other plans…lol

As to villains for the next film:
Catwoman has to make an appearance, but she isn’t dangerous enough to be the main antagonist. You can’t really go from “I’m going to watch the world burn” to “I’m going to steal that pretty necklace” when your theme is “escalation.”

HALLE BERRY as Catwoman! Please.

In all honesty, if I have one complaint with the movie it’s that they only did two. After he told the origin the first time I was thinking: “No shit. I’m gonna check on that when I get home”. When he did the second story I laughed.
Five definitely woulda been overkill, but I think they had at least one more in him. Everytime he started in on it you knew some crazy-ass shit was about to go down. On a side note, how bad ass is a movie when the only thing people are bitching about is the most minute details?
EDIT: Now that I think about it, 5 shoulda been the bare minimum. To me it showed that there’s no rhyme or reason to his craziness. He doesn’t give a fuck about his scars, and he doesn’t give a fuck about you.
He’s giving you a reason to think he’s crazy when really all he’s doing is making shit up and building suspense before he kills you. Everytime he started it showed how truly out of his mind he is.

SPOILER ALERT!!!
Maggie Gyllenhal is cute, but the lighting in some scenes was extremely unflattering to her.
Seriously, if you’re dumb enough to read a 300+ post thread about a movie you haven’t seen yet, then you deserve a few spoilers.

Seriously, I was actually hoping he’d tell his ‘how I got these scars’ stories a couple more times.
Him recounting those stories was some of his best acting of the entire film, and typically preceded something awesomely terrible happening to someone.
Then again, all of his acting was amazing, and something awesomely terrible happened to someone in almost every scene the Joker was in.
That movie f’ing rules.
Oh, wait… “SPOILER”. Right, yeah, don’t read this message.

Maggie Gyllenhall is the chick that the more you hang out with her, the sexier she gets because she’s so fucking cool. The problem is starting to hang out with her because she constantly assaults your eyeballs.

Anyone who reads this thread without having seen the movie has either never participated in an internet forum or probably shouldn’t be allowed in public.

I think their public social interaction issues are why they’re on the internet.

I rarely have issues suspending disbelief for the sake of good entertainment, but the sonar-phones thing was too much.
I give it an 8/10 for the joker’s performance and the tires on that bat-bike.

But one of the other posters said it is possible.

You’re always shitting in people’s cereal, Lixy. Just like Huey Freeman. Why fight it, Lixy? Join us. Stop standing out in the crowd and become a drone. Like me.

What movie(s) would you rate 9 or 10 out of 10, then?
I’m sincerely curious.

Lixy is a tough critic, he only gave “Fitna” a 2 out of 10.
