The Danish Viking: back to 531: Road to 2-3-4 Plates

Think it is some of that Guiness still in there somewhere
If and when I get to 187 (85 kg) or something like that, I’ll have a look and decide if I have to dial back a bit.
Fat kids burn a lot of fat fast and slams on muscles even faster.

Well i hope you get to 85 without too much trouble man. Gaining weight can be good or it can suck.

Haha! I wish i wasn’t so inactive most of my life. I just played videogames and slacked off. Up until i was 14 i never exercised much.

haha it sucks, for me at least. But I think at least some of the 5 kg - 10 lbs I’ve gained is muscles.
I did absolutely nothing when I was a kid. Started doing a bit when i applied for academy when I was 23-24 something like that. Before that it was beer and party :-).

This explains a lot.

I started playing soccer (I’ll stick with my American terms) when I was like three years old and continued playing sports most of the year until college…where I only played one sport for the entire year. I believe sports gave me a great base from which to build once I finally started hitting the gym. I’m not a head-turner or monster by any means but I’m above average compared to my 33 year old peers. I think having some success in the gym in high school helped me to enjoy it and adopt it as a hobby. It’s only natural to like things at which you’re good.

Todays training

Well I ended up doing something, Yoga class was cancelled, then badminton got cancelled.

BUT then I decided to take the running shoes for a spin.

1200 m warmup.
3 x 400 1 min 36 sec, 1 m 35, 1 m 39
2 x 200 43 sec and 44 sec

Pretty pleased with those. On the 400’s the last 100 I tend to be a bit stiff.

And the videos as promised:

Some damage control yesterday 2200 calories.
Hopefully I can do that again today. But it’s friday and life might hit me later with a great dinner and nice wine.
Going for a run later. (putting it here, otherwise I might find an excuse to not do it)

Sounds good man. It’s nice to have people you feel accountable to…

Enjoy that run later

And done

Todays training:

My “long slow jog” 2,5 km: 13 minutes 10 seconds.

All that squatting and DL’ing is ruining my running. Legs are heavy as old oaktrees

How often do you run? Oak trees better then twigs…just sayin

I try to get out twice. One day like today and one day of faster running doing a series of 400 m’s and 100 m’s.

Twigs is how my legs look. lol
I’ve got the skinniest legs around here I bet.

But they are built like oak trees so its ok  its whats on the inside that counts

1 hour 10 minutes. So paced myself a bit today.

An average workout. One week to deload, looking forward to it.
I am a bit worn down at the moment.
Thinking 6 weeks between deloads is to long time.
Playing around with something like 4 weeks Wendler with the last week being TM for amrap or maybe 5 singles.
