Ohh ok, now I get where you’re coming from. Maybe time to take a peek at pharma section? ![]()
Had crossed my mind to talk with my doc about it, but well it comes with age, and for now I’ll live with it.

OHP was pretty tough it is that every week, nothing new here. DL was fine.
Giantset and finisher were fine as well.
Cruising along, all good.
Yesterday despite a bit heavy legs I managed to squeeze out 3,9 km in 20 minutes.
I’ve been tempted to get my T levels checked - just for reference. Almost 0% chance I’d go on it, but with all the talk, I’m curious where I stand. Curious to see which direction you go.
I’ve had issues with competitiveness in BJJ - sometimes feeling like before training that “I just don’t feel like ‘fighting’ someone today.” One thing I’ve done is to just focus on pure technical execution, sometimes, as if I were following a specific computer program or algo, to take some of the inhibiting aspect of emotion out of the equation.
Don’t. If you feel great, and the numbers come back “low,” I guarantee you’ll start to feel like shit.

Dropping a bit
Yesterday I ran 3,75 km in 20 minutes 150 m shorter than tuesday. Finished with 5 x 40 m sprints, from about 70% to 95% on the last one.

Squats moved fine enough I’m sure I had a rep or two or even more every set.
Bench was a bit meh, was shooting for at least 12 reps, but had to rack at 11.
Giant set everything was fine. So a good day.
For the time being .. nothing. As @whang said I’m feeling okay’ish so no worries.
Have to accept I’m getting a little old.
Reminds me of that poem something like Do not go gentle into that good night.
Don’t worry mort, you’re doing really really good!

I,m feeling quite good, everything is moving fine, getting extra reps.
Yesterday I ran with a friend of mine about 4 km first 3 km was slow just under 7 min/km I ran alone the last km in 4 min 40 sec, so pretty pleased with that.
Then we hit the gym and I did 3 sets of pec dec, lat pull down, ab thing and squat + some other fluff I don’t remember.
That’s pretty good indeed. On pace for a sub 1 hour 10km
Thanks man, I was a decent runner back in the days, I ran consistently 10K’s in 37 - 38 minutes. Even in triathlons events after swimming and cycling.
Now the goal for the year is 4 km in well under 20 minutes before summer and 5 km in under 22 min 30 sec (4min 30 sec pace).
I’m hoping to get my desire to run back, right now I hate it.
Thats really fast.
thanks man, yeah I know now. Not at that time, there was always several faster dudes.
But I was flying. I felt like a kenyan runner or something, really light and easy.
I used to run quite a bit back in the day (went to a military school). Running near 6 minute miles feels like a sprint lol
One of the PT techs at my physical therapist’s office runs sub 6 min/mile for half marathons. I don’t understand it.
Training AND running seem to both be going great for you right now, happy to see that. Is running taking the top priority spot for you right now?
@kckfl349 yeah almost feels like it, 6 minute mile pace is fast.
@Frank_C that is a very impressive speed for a half marathon, but it’s very motivating running that fast.
@littlesleeper Running is certainly not taking top priority, it’s just something I’d like to do, trying to run twice a week, not pushing to hard. I’ve still got the 1234 plates + 200 kg DL as a goal, but at the moment they are far away, but we’ll see.
Main focus is staying healthy and being able to lift, run, play badminton, stand up paddling, kayaking and I want to enjoy life with beer, wine and good food.
How close are you to those numbers. I seem I remember when you were heavier that you were a bees dick away from this
