AB Bev employs lots of people. All sorts of people. Many blue collar folks that had nothing to do with their marketing. Sudden huge drops in sales could lead to rapid lay-offs for those people (especially production people).
Of course this happens naturally too, but usually those folks see it coming for some time. It’s a slower lay off process.
I feel bad for these people. I don’t really give a shit about the c-suit level people that got fired over the marketing decisions. They probably have a golden parachute anyways.
