This has very little to do with gays and lesbians; it’s all about transgenderism.
You would think teachers would be prioritizing teaching and not child psychology/sexuality. And most teachers probably would prefer to actually teach but the union, which is more of a political entity, is overrun with activists. As more veteran teachers retire or quit, they will be replaced by teachers who have been freshly indoctrinated in college.

I think we’re way past the point of digging in one’s heals on the specifics of this one person’s behavior. “Did this one guy specifically do X or Y?” Yes, in the respect that he’s riding the tranny choo choo and advocates for minor transitions.
The real fact is that this was an easy boycott to get on board with and people are sick of having woke bullshit rammed down their throats. And that was the last straw on a very large stack for a lot of people. Yet another tranny being rammed down the collective throats of regular people and folks had enough.
It didn’t have to be this dylan asshole, it could have been anything.

Forcing sexuality in general on children is a big problem, and handful of trannies should be checked here, but if you’re getting this twisted up about who does what that doesn’t pertain to you, it may be time to look inward. They should absolutely compete in their physical and real gender sports leagues and use men’s bathrooms. Even in dresses. I see trans as a mental illness personally, but it’s not anymore of my business they get treated as some of you treating your apparent autism and depression.
There is not a “trans conspiracy” to take over the world. As linked, many transvestites actively recommend against childhood transitions and use all the logic about maturity, body image et cetera that everyone else does.
You can relax. The occasional dude in a dress you see online or in Portland isn’t going to make you gay. And neither will drinking bud light if that’s your thing. Same beer it always was.

In my state it is now government policy for public educators to guide children into a life of profound disability and recurring medical costs, should they happen to repeat the ridiculous notions about left wing gender ideology that they’ve been taught by those same educators. If you browse my state’s website you’ll see all kinds of resources for teachers and school administrators to guide your child into a lifetime of medical treatment to accompany the mental and physical dysfunction of adopting a trans lifestyle. This is not hidden, it is proudly displayed on the Maine DOE website. If you read through it you will notice that at no point is it mentioned that they have a policy to inform parents about gender identity issues, because they have no such policy.

Maine has very recently passed a law to allow minors to consent to gender affirming care without parental approval. You have to ask, if these democrats believe it is good for 16 year-olds to begin this path behind their parents’ backs, why not 15? Why not 12? Why not 8?
How can they pay for it without parental consent? Well, our legislators have benevolently made sure that the path is still open. The children can, of course, consent not only to the treatment, but to the responsibility for paying for it as well. Maine state law explicitly says that the child is responsible for the costs incurred if given care as a minor without parental consent.
§1506. Financial responsibility
**Unless the parent or guardian expressly agrees to assume full or partial responsibility, a minor who consents to health care services as provided in this chapter is responsible for the costs of those services. *
