How long did he get to stay this time? [/quote]
As I drove away feeling all sorry for myself I thought of you and decided I needed to grow a pair. My hat goes off to you.
He was here for a long time this time. He had four days at home. Juuust enough time for me to relax and enjoy being married He’ll be back in twelve days if all goes according to plan. Is your man back yet?
Oh MiM!! You must be walking around holding your breath!!! That’s so exciting Well, please give him a big hug and a thank you from us and enjoy his new muscles…YUM
I can’t get a damn thing to post on here yet again.
Arse hattery.
Well here comes another week. I conquered chest and biceps today, which I’ve come to view with trepidation since my shouler issues. Last week I walked out feeling defeated, but today I felt a lot more positive about what I acheived…plus noone asked me to cover my glowing white skin because the reflection was blinding them in the mirror…can’t ask for much more right?
11.5 min 6% 3.2mph w/u
DB Incline Press: 50lb x 15
Machine Seated Flye: 130lbs x 10 r/p 10 sec + 4
BB Flat bench: 35lb ps x 10 (UGH! I have to get past this!! It’s hard after you’re done from the other exercises though)
BB curl: 60lb x 8 r/p 10 secs + 3
Incline DB curl: 20lb x 10 r/p + 3 ( I HATE these bishes)
Preacher Curl Machine: 65lb x 10 r/p + 4
No cardio because to be frank, I couldn’t quite be arsed. Nothing like being honest…lazy, but honest
Ok today was quads and calves. Woke up fearing it, but I felt pretty focused and intense once I got there. LOVE that feeling!
5 min on bike, 7.5 min tread 14% 3.0
Xtension: 80lb x 15 (had to go down from 90lbs. Right knee is bothering me)
Leg press: 4pps x 16 r/p plus 4
Wide Stance Hack Squat: 3.5pps x 17 r/p plus 5
Seated Calf Raise: 85lb x 10 r/p plus 3
Leg press calf press: 4pps x 10 r/p plus 4 r/p plus 2
you can bench press 115 for 10 reps?! Thats awesome…does benching hurt your shoulder as opposed to using dbs?
I can go to 90 degrees before the shoulder pokes me and says ‘hey that hurts!!’ I don’t know what I ever did, cause I’ve been faithfully doing shoulder warm ups for a good while BEFORE it start hurting…grr
No, I laughed MiM, I may be short, but I’m not little…not recently anyway…
I hate doing bench after incline db’s and flyes, it reduces my output and it’s a big ego crusher, but it’s good for me to know my limits. I just make a ‘T’ with my body and upper arms, does that make sense…it juuuust touches my chest. It DOES hurt right now…flyes hurt the worst though. I keep repeating “Patience Grasshopper” to myself…but ya it doesn’t help lol.
1- nice bb curls
2- are you benching 50lbs db on the incline? damn that’s hot.
3-I hate hack squats. they jusr feel wrong. what’s the thinking behind the awkwardness?
4-how come you curl more with the preacher than without?
Masch!!! blush brb heading over to TILF just to make sure…
N:
Thank you very much.
Yes Ma’am.
I dunno chicky, I’m using a hack squat sled…not a barbell/smith…they just feel like…hack squats lol
This time around I’m finishing off with the preacher curl machine, the one with a stack. Therefore I assume it’s actually a little easier than with a barbell…in fact, I know it is, because if I remember correctly I finished bb preacher at 55lbs. That was several weeks back, so hopefully when I rotate back to it it will have increased by way of the other work I’ve been doing. I like finishing off with the preacher machine because of the constant tension the stack offers…also not to be understated, I do what I’m told. (In the gym anyway)
So I needed a severe and swift kick in the unmentionables with my diet, so today I started Pauline Nordin’s fighter diet concept. Pounding 5cups of broccoli is a skill for real. We’ll see how long the benefits of the shock to the system factor outweigh the “If I look at another piece of cruciferous veg I will commit murder”.
No training today. Maybe cardio this evening while I watch a movie or whatnot…I feel inclined to rest instead…it’s been a rough day for getting my food in. Various unforseen circumstances today meant that by 5pm I had only had 1c wheat bran with protein powder and another scoop whey later (thank goodness I had that in the car or I would’ve been even more screwed) I hate it when things happen like this. Usually I’m so prepared even to the point of being OCD about it. Today I got blind sided and I’m paying for it now. I feel really pooped and highly unmotivated…EXACTLY the time when I absentmindedly find myself in front of the fridge searching. Hasn’t happened yet and the new diet is going very well, so I’m not going to ruin it now. Just feel sub par.
Did a bunch of shoulder rotations and un weighted shrugs to try and get things going. Old lady joints ftl.
Front db raises: 30lb x 10 (r/p 10 secs) plus 4
Seated O/H press stack machine: 70lb per side x 14 (r/p 10) plus 4 (-this felt a lot smoother and I had more power than last week…maybe I’m healing.)
Seated side lateral machine: 40lb x 12 (r/p 10) plus 4
Underhand tri pressdown: 40lbs x 15
V grip pressdown: 40lb x 16
Unilateral neutral rope pressdown: 15lb x 9 had such crap form I took it down to 10lbs and did 12.
Got talking to a friend I hadn’t seen in forever and got so cooled down I had to give cardio the bird and go fetch the kids out of the creche.
When I was doing Tri’s today some random bloke approached my coach and said “What the hell are you feeding her?! F’n hell!” Now, at first I took it as a poorly worded compliment. The more I (obsessively) dwell on it however, I’m starting to think maybe I look heftier than I thought. I’m still in a 2-4 jean depending on where they’re from (Old Navy 2, American Eagle 4 for example) but they’re not comfy in the legs and it’s starting to have the sensation that I’m sharing my jeans with an invisible little person.
I’ve dropped 2lbs since Tuesday when I started this ‘Fighter Diet’ concept. It is of course predominantly water I’ve been holding from all the extra sugar/salt and generaly poopy food. I’m expecting to drop maybe 6lbs this week, then if I can maintain 2lbs a week I should hit 128lb by the date of the competition I was going to do. I’m still going to watch and support the bb’ing community here, and sure as the butt in my undies, I’m not going looking like a female version of Jabba the Hutt. :S
Jabba the Hutt doesn’t even lift weights. Poor example
I think in the weight lifting community, bigger is a compliment. To some random person in the street that doesn’t know much about working out, it can go either way.
I really won’t stress it, you look amazing.
To suggest that you might look like Jabba the Hut in the same post as saying you wear a size 2-4 jeans is a bit much. I understand that body builders must watch their weight like a hawk, but still.
Just stumbling upon your log. Cool to see what a body builder similar to me in size does diet-wise to lean out. Been stuck at 130. Be nice to shed a few. Will follow along.

kpsnap, I’m sorry if that offended you. I am a master of overstatement and it was meant entirely in humor. This is not the first time in my life that I’ve found myself in trouble for exaggerating the matter at hand. I really don’t take myself very seriously, and it was meant in that vein. Apologies.
