GASP! You little beast! I cannot believe you’d cast aspersions upon my very moral fiber!! I will pm you my last 2 years work out logs as punishment (Yes OCD. Thank you for asking.)
Today is my day off from lifting, although I’m still meant to go in and work abs and do cardio. For some reason today I have a rip snorter of a headache and I’m really not feeling it. I rarely take pain meds…I only had gas and air with both of my kid’s births and I can’t recall the last time I took advil or whatever. This bad boy is testing my resolve however and I think I might have to break down and take something. I really can’t figure out what has given me a headache. I had a late night/early start, but that’s not all that unusual. I’ve been drinking water and although less than usual because I didn’t have my peri workout drinks, I think 75oz isn’t too bad for half way through the day.
Hi FM, I wonder whether that headache of yours might be caused by too much water, rather than not enough. Have you been consciously restricting your sodium intake with your eating plan? Maybe swallow that Advil with some electrolyte drink. And have the cake.
THE SEE FOOD DIET IS MY FAVIE!!
oh, and I don’t know how you could ever eat just TWO of those gummy frogs. How bout like, the entire package?
Yep, sounds good. k great.
haha
MiM you were right, it was hormonal. I’ve had the most hellacious couple of weeks emotion wise and then just extreme fatigue. I had awful sleep and then the headache yesterday and then BOOM this morning, I came on. I haven’t had emotions and insomnia and especially a headache associated with a period since I was early twenties. Mostly I get weepy maybe two days before and a few zits, then I’m fine. Last three months though the symptoms have reverted. I almost thought I was going barmy at one point. I’m usually pretty mellow when I drive, but the other day some old guy was going 15 under the speed limit and kept crossing half way into the other lane and generally being a hazard. I felt the rage boiling up (I had little man in the back so mother bear appeared) and I was having visions of ramming him off the road and pulling him out of the car and kicking his face in!!! It quite upset me that I could have such voilent thoughts about a poor little old man.
Anyway, half a tub of Costco chocolate, caramel covered macadamias and I feel a lot rounder…uh I mean, better :S
I’ve also had a sudden onset of pms and it’s not fun. Like you, normally I’m very mellow…but the past couple cycles I can feel the bitchiness within and I just want to be left alone. Hard to do when you have kiddos, huh?
And this past time my boobs and back hurt a week before…grrr
YES!! My boobs have been really tender and of course they seem like targets…keep getting bashed in the knocker…typical! I’ve stopped taking DHEA and tribulus just to see if that’s what’s exacerbating it. We’ll see.

Kimbakimba, thanks’ for stopping by…I LOVE the support
MiM…oh hi there sister from another mister. I’m feeling MUCH better and I have managed to eat less than 2 dump trucks of chocolate in the last 48 hours. SCOOOOOREEEEEE!
I work with a guy who trains along with me, and together we decide what movements to include each time we change a ‘cycle’ of exercises. We always follow the same split though and it’s based pretty closely on Dorian Yates’style of training. I love the guy I train with. He gets me to acheive things I never thought possible. I call him my trainer, but really he’s like my brother. I LOVE him. Did I mention that?
I went into the gym this morning to do cardio and had every intention of doing a circuit through tread low incline fast pace, bike, eliptical, step mill and back to tread steep incline lower pace. HOWEVER, I started watching Lara Croft: Cradle of Life on TNT. Usually I just slam on some tunage and git er done. I felt like something to watch today though and got sucked in by Gerard Butler’s charms…damn Scotts. Anyway, I ended up doing 70 minutes on the tread…still missed the end, thanks’ to the criminal amount of commercials they show over here. Still, I was sweating like a beastie by the time I stepped off, so it wasn’t all bad. Gerard Butler sweat = yes please, thank you very much
you speak a lot of Dorian Yates…
I need to study up on different training styles. I can honestly say that I’ve never stuck to one style or ‘program,’ for longer than two months.
Oh and I meant to say Gerard Butler PLUS sweat = But it sounded more like I have personal experience of Gerard Butler’s actual sweat. I wish. Or maybe not…I’ll have to think about that one.
I just got back from a rodeo and my ears are ringing from all the whooping and screaming and clapping and foot stomping. SO much fun. I always love the mutton busting the best. Those cute little kids hanging on for dear life and the sheep all standing around in the corner laughing amongst themselves…you KNOW that’s what’s going on…you can see it all over their furry little faces…
It’s interesting to look around and see these guys that to all intents and purposes look like skinny little kids that have no strength or muscle, yet control these powerful animals like it’s a breeze. It made me re-evaluate for a moment my perception of what strength looks like. I HATE being judged for what most people close to me see when they look at me, and yet I so frequently do the same only perhaps in reverse. My husband’s family are 4th generation farmers and settled a massive area of the Tetons between ID and WY, but they’re some of the lankiest, skinny people you could meet. However, I’ve seen one of the Uncles, in his late 60’s pick up a young steer and throw it over his shoulder like I would my little boy. Aestetically I like the brawn, but I can respect the strength that makes this country great everyday without ever looking like it
Heh, my bloke doesn’t train at all, is about 5’8 and skinny fat, but has the most insane grip strength.
And Lara Croft - sucky movies, but Gerard Butler is yum (she kills him, by the way). The first time I saw him was in Dracula 2000 and I thought he was tasty then, but then 300 came out and now he’s everywhere. I do wish he’d stop doing so many crappy romcoms though. Stick to action, please!
Day off today. Took hubs to airport. Hatety hate HATE that. Being all ‘strong’ when actually I want to hang on his ankles screaming “DON’T GOOOOOOOO!” as he walks into the terminal sucks donkey balls. That’s correct, it sucks donkey balls. sigh
Oh wait you guys didn’t get your invitations to the pity party? What an over sight on my part.
