Gotcha. I’m 5’8". Your comp pics are my personal challenge/goal.
I have to get back on track but shooting for a shredded 165/175/185 (hell I don’t know what weight I’ll be- depends on how much size I can put on by then) by April 2021 that’s when I’ll hit the 5-oh.
Speaking of 5-0, @Frank_C has his own challenges at that height but also some benefits us short dudes can only experience vicariously. My son happens to be 6’4" as well and to witness that dude crush a 7-iron longer than I can hit my driver is a wonderful sight. He also happens to be 20, a DI athlete, and coming into his prime years of development.
Today’s gonna be a physical one. We have a spring floor showing up at work to unload. Think 200 sheets of plywood with springs screwed to the underside. Then it’s a chest and triceps this afternoon. Either that or I might hit a total upper body day. I like the idea but it never goes as well as I would like.
I like to really fatigue each muscle group and unless I want to spent 3 hrs in the gym, that’s hard to do with 5 muscle croups to hit.
Legs will be on Saturday.
On a more fun note today’s my youngest daughters birthday. Can’t believe she’s 12 already!
I did have it compounded at a 1/1 ratio. 500mcg was the dose that I ran the whole time. I found it much less effective when the FDA decided that GHRP wasn’t allowed anymore though. Most docs want to write 250 mcg from what I’ve seen though. It had my IGF1 levels in the 300s. I’m not taking any peptides currently. Hope that helps
Please excuse the ignorance. I’m not sure I understand this comment. Are you saying the FDA is preventing compounding pharmacies from adding GHRP into a Sermorelin blend or??
So I shot up from 155 at competition to 170 pretty quickly. Did a three month bulk and landed right at 180. Felt a little fat at that wait so went into a maintenance period for the last two months. Currently sitting at 176 and feeling fairly lean still.
I’m going to make another push for size until o start feeling too fat again. Hopefully 185-190 or so. This is the leanest I’ve felt at my current weight of 176 so I’m pretty happy with my progress.
Current macros are 300p 350c 85f. It’s a lot of food but manageable in 5 meals and two shakes. Here’s an August update on the off-season physique.
This was the hardest biceps and back session I’ve done in a long time and it was awesome.
Side note: I had tremendous growth in Lubbock lats this year mainly due to 6 sets of chin ups to failure 5-7 days a week for about 4 months. I knew they were improving but they grew my chest measurement like 4.5 inches. I’m taking the same approach to my quads. Six sets of leg extensions to failure tacked onto every workout. Today was day two and I’m still hobbeling around. It took a good week for my lats to stop killing me so we’ll see. Thoughts?
Biceps and back
Superset 1
Wide grip lat pulls 3x15@240
Straight arm lat pulls 3x15@140
Superset 2
Incline reverse fly/row ( kind of at a 45) 3x15@35
Low cable rows 3x15@150
I’ve started doing something similar with bi’s and tris. Every workout I hit them. I’ll usually just pick one movement on the days that aren’t meant to be worked, and then on the days I’m supposed to work them I do all my normal variations.
Still too early to tell for me if it’s working but I sure hope it does. My arms seem to be the most stubborn part to grow.
Awesome man! Biceps have always been lacking for me. I think it’s more justcover developed triceps from years of gymnastics with so many pushing movements.
Take measurements and see if the torture is worth it!
