Food recommendations for dinner tonight???
You staying down town? You looking for family atmosphere? Bar atmosphere? Semi fancy?
Just good food nothing fancy. We’re near sowntown
Ended up at little donkey Mexican. Less than a mile from the hotel. We’ll see!
Dangit man, I didn’t know y’all were already in town. I was waiting till this evening so I could sit down and formulate a decent what’s what guide. I’m sorry man.
No worries. It was good. Had a chicken taco, a carnitas one, and a fried chicken one. Kind of a farm to table hipster taco place… pretty dang good!
Lots of hipster places around. If you’re into craft beer there are a bunch of breweries down town. Few in Avondale and a couple in south side.
The original pancake house in five points is a great place to grab breakfast. Demetris bbq has a killer BBQ omelet.
Another broken egg in mountain brook has a killer breakfast with a lot of healthier options. The scenery should be filled with trophy wife’s as well. Lots of 1+ million dollar homes around that area.
There’s a few really cool bars all around as well.
@jackolee dude I almost forgot!!! You have to go to cookie dough magic in Avondale!! Right now. Drive there lol. It’s the best thing ON THIS PLANNET!!!
Yeah you need to go. Savannah is pretty awesome. Amazing food, cool architecture, all around good vibes. Everyone’s really fat though lol.

No weigh in. Didn’t go too crazy yesterday with food while traveling so I’m guessing probably right around 175.
Now today is a different matter. We stayed at an embassy suites and they have amazing breakfast. Started today off with
Bacon egg and cheese omelette
3 pancakes with lots of syrup
3 sausage links
Fried potatoes
Coffee
Only 5.5 hrs in the car today. We should arrive in Savannah around 2 or 3. I’m gonna try to get my leg session in at the hotel gym if they have enough equipment to make it work. I’ll cross my fingers
This session supposed to be 5 minutes 40 seconds of squats. I’d be lying if I said I was enjoying this program, but I seem to be getting results in size. Only 4 more weeks to go to finish it up. Just saying 8 minutes of squats sounds painful lol.
The hotel gym consisted of a bunch of cardio equipment, a few dumbbells and some medicine balls. Nothing to squat with.
I opted to go down to river street, have some chips and dip, a couple of beers and then walk around and shop.
Dinner was Italian. Shrimp scampi and two glasses of wine. Back to the hotel and then beach time tomorrow!
I think you made the right choice. No point spinning your wheels is a shite gym and getting nothing out of it.

Made it back from Hilton Head island. To say we had a good time is an understatement. The weather was perfect. I didn’t track a damn thing… ate ice cream, pasta, seafood, and probably way too many cocktails.
We had an 18 hr drive home yesterday and I was very careful about food during the trip. I find that if I eat like crap when driving it just makes the whole process that much more terrible.
This morning I woke up just shy of 180 so not too much damage done. I’m going to put off workouts for one more day and get all the post vacation tasks done first.
Unpack
Carwash
Oil change
Tire rotation
Cook meals for the week
Etc, etc, etc
Gonna be a busy day but I’m glad to be back to a schedule!
Here are a few shots from the trip
Looks like an amazing trip man. Well deserved
Saw those pics on FB. That picture of your back is a great one (and not just cause we cant see your face !!) LOL
Might have been spreading the lats ![]()

Woke 176.4
The last 36 hrs have been a pain in the ass literally. Somehow I developed an infection from my TRT shot last Thursday.
I started noticing that the site was unusually sore on the drive home from the beach on Saturday. We got home around 10 pm and by that time it hurt pretty good but I wasn’t too worried.
Yesterday it progressively got worse and by mid day after running all my errands I was starting to feel sick. I was achy, stiff, and pretty miserable. I head to the bathroom to see if it’s red at the injection site and am horrified to see that there’s a lump the size of a large egg at the top of my glute! It’s red and hot to the touch. At this point I’m a little nervous so I take my temperature and sure enough I’m running 99.0. I’m usually low 98s so I know it’s a fever. Ugh guess I have an infection that’s getting progressively worse.
Ends up that my daughter refused to take her penicillin from an oral surgery and we still have it on the fridge. I get online and look up standard adult dosage for skin staff infection and take the first dose yesterday evening and then another around midnight.
This morning the lump is still pretty big but the pain which peaked at around an 8 is down to a 2 or 3. Looks like it’s penicilin to the rescue and I can get back on track with lifting today!!!

Glad you’ve got the infection under control.
Glad you got the infection sorted. Hopefully you dont have to get it lanced!
Hilton Head is wonderful. I’m there about twice a year entertaining clients. My company owns a house on #16 of Harbour Town, so that makes things easier for me to get down there.
If you’re looking for another spot, that’s incredible and private, go to Kiawah Island. Off the SC coast about 35 mins from Charleston, SC. One of the best beaches in the SE.
#beachlife!!!
Thanks man! We stay right by Cologny Plaza as Seacrest. Love it there. So many good restaurants, beaches are nice, and super family friendly.
