Awesome log - thank you for all the detail (especially the food)!
Sorry about your intestines, man… I’ve had similar experiences from the food at all-inclusives out of the country. Something about the care of the food, or maybe the water or the oil they cooked with didn’t agree with me. I’m beginning to believe it’s quite common for eating over the boarder…
That is not good mate. I really hope you got rid of it and are all good now.
Think I’m in the clear now. Thanks Simo! I could go the rest of my life without that happening again.

Today it’s time to get back to the grind. Summer at work is always super busy so I’m going to shift to a four day a week training. Pretty typical bro split.
Monday chest/triceps
Wednesday biceps/back
Friday legs
Saturday shoulders
This seems like it will be quite manageable. I’m building my summer work schedule I specifically allocated 2 hrs M/W/F for training. This will hopefully take some of the guilt out of leaving work. I’ll be doing later nights but can train freely each day so that will be nice.
The goal is to complete the Hungarian Oak leg blast but I’m having serious sciatica pain right now and my Gout is pretty flared up as well. We’ll see how I’m feeling on Friday.
Workout
Chest and triceps
Gonna hit press and flys… incline/flat/and decline and finish with standing cable cross and feet elicited pushups
Triceps will be
Rope pull downs, over head rope, bar push downs, kickbacks, and single arm rope pull downs.
Hardly lifted at all last week so the Doms are gonna come for sure. We’re going on another trip at the end of next week so gonna try to be really disciplined till then.
Sorry to hear about the food poisoning man.
Although slightly less sorry after I read you have another 2 holidays planned in the next month. Might be a little bit jealous.
I want you to complete the leg blast program, but if you have legitimate sciatica (often sciatic pain is piriformis tightness), having a bar on your back for 5+ minutes at a time is going to compress the nerve further and exacerbate things. Just be careful, bud.
Food poisoning sucks, but I definitely got a laugh out of your messy morning situation haha. Glad you’re feeling better man.
Today was our first day of summer programming at work. We’re in the middle of a renovation. The roof is getting replaced, and due to working on a lot of electrical changes we have three AC units down currently. It was probably 85 degrees in the gym. Man alive working from 9am -9pm with a two hour break to workout makes for a whipping of a day.
Everything went well and I’m spent… in a good way. I can’t even imagine how many calories I burnt today lol.
Today’s macros were around
225 protein
150 carbs
40 fat
My schedule is going to be interesting this summer. Mon- Wed are going to be 9-9 then off Thursday, 3:30-7:30 on Friday, and 9:00-11:30 on Saturday. Gonna be cool to almost be done with the week on Wednesday night though.
Overall it was great getting back to being productive again.
How are you going with the weight gain. Did you get much out of your recent blast ?
Here’s how I’m gauging it. In my last blast sept-dec 2018, I really struggled to get above 180 and felt pretty fat at that weight. This go round my body got up to around 185. I wasn’t ripped but didn’t feel fat either so hopefully I put on a few lbs of muscle. I’m gonna try to stay around 175-180 for a bit and hopefully lean up a bit on the process. Then in sept-dec I’ll try to push it to 190. That’s the goal at least. I’m with @Frank_C and don’t want to just put on a bunch of fat. Overall I think it’s going great. Thanks Simo!

A 4 day split is so strange to me. I’m just used to hitting it everyday. Today was a no lift day and I struggled mentally with feeling guilty or lazy for not hitting the gym. Hopefully this will pass. Work kept me plenty busy. Got in around 9:15 am and just got home.
Currently I’m sitting in my massage chair having a protein shake wishing it was a whisky. I’ve been allowing myself some alcohol here and there but tomorrow’s a long day and I don’t think it would be worth it.
Tomorrow is biceps and back. I’m really looking forward to hitting my lats super hard and will probably do 100 rep curls again. The wife is doing it with me so I might make her do it too!
How much weight? That sounds miserable.
Last go round I did my ez curl bar which is 22.5 lbs with a 10 on each side, so 42.5. Gonna try to push it to 47.5 this time. I do it as my last lift of biceps and back as a finisher. And yes… it’s brutal. I’ll have to pause a few times but can’t drop the bar
Growth happens outside of the gym.
I haven’t lifted since Saturday and I’ve eaten zero protein today.
Hope your shoulder surgery goes perfectly man! I’ll shoot up some prayers for a speedy and not so painful recovery brother!

Knowing that I’ll be back at the condo on Hilton Head island in a week I’ve made efforts to drop a little weight before hand to do some damage control.
Yesterday’s workout
Biceps and back
Superset
Wide grip lat pulls
3x15@220
Straight arm lat pulls
3x15@140
Narrow grip underhand pull downs
3x15@200
Incline dumbbell rows
3x15@35
Rope hammer curls
3x15@110
Isolation curls
3x15@30
100 rep ez bar curls @47.5 (I added 5 lbs from last time I did this and it made the lift so much harder). I was really questioning if I’d make it around 80. All that got me through was bad form and determination lol
I don’t know what to do today… it’s a rest day and I’m off work! I have a few chores to get done round the house but think I’ll do some pool lounge time too.
@jackolee how tall are you? Tried finding it in your log but didn’t succeed.
I’m right at 5’9”
Here’s a good article on the RFESS. The foot placement and pad o the floor changed the entire movement for me.
