What’s in the top bowl?
In case you hadn’t noticed, I get quite a case of food envy sometimes

So it’s a strange concoction that I eat.
1 cup fat free cottage cheese
Chopped strawberries
Chopped blackberries
1/4 cup grapenuts
Peanut butter / chocolate chip / banana oatmeal mix sprinkled on top
Looks like a pretty good meal to me.
Not training related but the Canadian geese have nested on the island on our pond again this year. Should have some baby geese soon along with some ducklings too. We had some freshwater pelicans drop by this winter for a week or so but unfortunately they moved on.
Ugh, I hate Canada geese, damn shit machines is what they are. A migrating flock will stop in a field here for an afternoon and turn the whole 40 acres or so into a giant grease slick. Beautiful at a distance, though.
They do pool a lot, but I enjoy seeing all the different wildlife on the pond. Canadian geese, ducks (mallard I think), egrets (these big tall white birds), and a couple or red shoulder hawks that nest in one of the oaks on the edge of the pond.
Yeah, a nesting pair is a lot different from a flock of several hundred.
That’s beautiful view man.
Second @dagill2 on that one, Quality view Jack. Very relaxing.
Frankly, I’d like to see more pics of @jackolee 's home gym
Here ya go @studhammer
I’m pretty proud of this little gem. My wife and I did the build out, hung the Sheetrock, ran the electrical/lighting, textured, painted. We did everything except the carpet ourselves. Hell I even milled the baseboards. Was a really fun project tat took the better part of a year on the weekends, but now it’s my favorite room in the house! One of my favorite details is the light switch. It’s this giant toggle switch made from old wrenches and some wood dowels, but has a cool industrial feel.
Thanks man! It’s the whole reason we bought the house. Everything in the house needed to be pretty much gutted. We’ve been down to the studs in almost every room, but when we walked in and saw the view from the back patio we knew it was home. Think I posted something about this before but here’s from the back patio. It’s my happy place when the weathers nice!
Thanks man! I’m a little partial to it myself.
You made really great use of the space in that room. With that back patio view, I’d say you have a beautiful house, my man. You are blessed, for sure.
That is a beautiful view, for sure.
It’s actually about 1/4 of the garage. We just cut a doorway into the garage and then framed out a room. We’re plnning on building a detached garage in the future.
Our house has literally been one giant project for the last 15 years. Always something in process lol.

Well getting back to the clean diet even at increased calories made a difference…

I think when I eat a lot of sugar I immediately start to hold water. I don’t like for my weight to yo yo like it has in the past week. I’m looking for a slow consistent gain of about a pound per week. I’ll try to keep on track better going forward. Being an all or nothing type guy it’s easy to get carried away when cheating. Also when bulking on a clean diet you eat a substantial quantity of food. This unfortunately allows for large quantities of sub par food to be consumed on cheat tldaysxwothout feeling too bad. I just don’t get stuffed as easy as I used to. It might be that I eat many meals throughout the day that I get used to feeding m face all the time.
Missed my cardio session yesterday so I’m making it up this morning. I guess it will be Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday this week.

I need to mess around in my fitness pal with calories and come up with a basic template for daily calories. I don’t have that quite dialed in yet and I think that’s the main reason for why I’ve been falling off the wagon as of late. I find it much easier when I have a structure in place where I know what I’m doing.
I can tell I ate better yesterday because I woke up starving. When I eat clean my body tears through whatever I give it. When I give it crap I wake up and don’t want to eat first thing.
That is awesome! I’d love to have something that but its not really doable in my house.
I didnt see any barbells except that short one. Do you do all of your leg work on the machines? Are dumbbells your primary sources? Do you deadlift?
If I’m gonna do heavy barbell work I go up to the gym. A buddy of mine lifts at a youfit, and his membership comes with unlimited guest passes. I don’t deadlift often as I’m really careful with my lower back. Most of my leg work is on machines or high rep light weight with barbells.
I’ve found there’s s direct correlation between the amount of barbell work I do to the amount of injury’s I incur lol
