So which was it? Pizza or burger. We ended up having herb crusted chicken and rice for dinner. I had four breasts and about a pound of rice…

Neither. My wife’s hair appointment took 3.5 hrs and she didn’t want to go by the time she got home. We had a meal we bought from Trader Joe’s and it was delicious. It’s a frozen dish that you cook on the stove and put on rice. I think it was Kung Pao Chicken.

Traded joes is a great place…pull tab salt free tuna too! What the hell did they do to her hair? Lol

I love Trader Joe’s frozen dishes.

They have a chicken chipotle bowl that’s really good. Macros good too. I usually stir in a can of tuna for an extra protein pop (can’t taste it) and viola, filling, tasty, quick meal.

I think they talk a lot and move really slow. My wife has started coloring her hair at every appointment and it takes forever. She told me it would be a short appointment yesterday, but the stylist was way behind.

It’s okay, though, because it’s also $150 a visit. :man_facepalming:

At least she’s trying to look hot for ya lol mine does the same shit but I don’t think it takes so long - and she probably lies about the cost ha

It’s absurd how much girls hair costs to cut and color. My wife keeps her hair short so it need to be cut and colored at least once a month. Luckily one of our employees who used to do hair does it out of her house. So we went from $150 each time to like $40

Don’t forget $70 for the newest tiny bottles of shampoo and conditioner.

Still moving in the right direction. 180s so close I can smell it. Was 180.2 before bed last night. I bet In a week or two I’ll see 180 in the morning. Don’t know if I was carrying more lean muscle when I started or if I’m just eating more or if it’s the EQ I added in but it sure seems like I’m bigger than I’ve ever been and still pretty lean. Hopefully that trend continues.

Still working all day today and then start over come Monday.

Split is gonna be
Chest/tri
Back/bi
Legs
Shoulders
Arms
Rest
Rest

Now time to eat again lol

How many meals are you averaging per day now? I’ve always found meal frequency for bulking more effective than for cutting, where I’ve done anywhere from 5 down to 2 (12 hour fast) meals per day.

I’m just eating not stop. As long as I’m not stuffed I’m trying to eat. I’d say when I prep that I’m doing 5 plus snacks

So not 5 meals just 5 “snacks” instead? How do you maintain muscle mass in such a deficit?

Marathon weekend is over but unfortunately it’s Monday and the week starts over… only we haven’t done laundry, no groceries, house is a mess, and I missed breakfast before PT. Gonna have to pick up the pace to catch up and get back on schedule.

Today’s chest and triceps
Flat press and flys
Incline press and flys
Narrow press and iron cross
Rope extensions and kickbacks
Skull crushers and bar push downs
Pushups and then knee pushups to failure

Should blast everything pretty much.

Competition went well this weekend. We had 436 competitors over the weekend. No injuries or real incidents at all. Happy for a smooth event.

Hey @jackolee I see you listed 250g carb, 250g protein and 50g fat for getting shredded. I know it’s like a holy grail, but do you have a go to ratio for the elusive “lean bulk”

I think it’s different from person to person. Right now I’m shooting for around 200-250 protein 400-500 carbs and keeping fat under 100. I think the real key is to try to eat at like a 3500 calorie surplus weekly while still hitting your protein goals. That should equate to gaining about a point d a week. Gain weight too quick and it’s gonna be fat and water. I’m the first to admit I’m better at cutting than bulking that’s for sure!

Thanks! I’m definitely more of a fan of the weekly approach as to daily. It just seems so much more manageable

Been absent for a few days. I’ve gotten this nasty upper respiratory crud. Hacking, coughing, and snorting all day long.

Still managed to crank out a good chest and tri session and hitting his and back today. Weight is still going up steadily. Breakfast sandwiches and burritos are doing me well!

Today’s work
Chin ups 6 sets to failure
Wide grip pull downs 6 sets to failure
Low rows 6 sets to failure
High rows 6 sets to failure
Incline seated dumbbell curl 6 sets to failure
Alternating dumbbell curl 6 sets to failure
Rope hammer curl 6 sets to failure

Just typing this out makes me dread the session this afternoon. Damn it I’m gonna grow lol!
