Today was supposed to be the day I hit 180. My stomach had other plans. Woke up in the middle of the night cramped up and really nauseous. Had one of those all night long stomach bugs and lost a bit of weight. Took an anti nausea pill and some Imodium but am now a little scared to eat. Oh well guess it can’t last that long. Regardless I’m not training or straining today lol. Time to rest up

Still don’t really have an appetite but at least I’m not feeling too nauseous this morning. Been a really crappy week as far as training goes… only got two sessions in. Working long hours 6-7 days a week for over a month straight will do that to ya.
Back at it again for competition today. Have athletes from 7:30 am - 8:30 pm. My level 8 & 9 athletes did awesome last night and took home a gold and two silvers.
It’s nuts how high some of these kids get on the trmampolie. Here’s a little snipet of one of a really good routine.
My son did that trampoline stuff, but stopped a year or so before getting to that level. But man, it was stressful as hell at meets watching some of those kids, just like in that video. Afraid they are going to screw it up and land 20 feet away from the thing. Terrifying and fascinating.
Finally saw 180 first thing in the morning. Still have this nasty cold. Ears are super plugged up and I cough and snort for the first hour of the day and then get a bit better
Yesterday was chest and triceps
Lifted at a friends house who had dumbbells that go up to 90 so did a little lower volume and higher weight for fun. Feeling some DOMS this morning so that’s good

Short, good pump, and fun. Sometimes nice to train for fun and not do so much volume.
Yesterday was biceps and back. I’ve been trying to mix things up a bit with some different lifts and focusing on lifting heavier than normal with a little less volume. I’m sore all over so hopefully that’s shocking the muscles a bit.

Back is sore today but the verdict is still out on biceps. I usually don’t feel sore as quickly with them.
I will admit I’m really tired of feeling full all the time. Been force feeding myself. Right now coffee is all I want but might as well eat before I leave to get the ball rolling. Feeling a little fluffy but also feeling really thick and filling out shirts nicely so that’s good. 185 here I come!
Trade ya - I’m starving and ate too much Sunday and last night. I was fine with Sunday but I can do it multiple times a week. I have to suck it up and be hungry now.

Wasn’t feeling breakfast this morning so I went with a plain bagel, a cup and a bit of oats and a protein shake. Still like 700 calories but the lack of egg and cheese made it more doable

No weigh in. Today will be my first workout since last Thursday. To say work has been chaotic would be an understatement. This virus craziness has us scrambling. USA gymnastics has cancelled everything through May 10th, and our enrollment is down by like 85%. Starting to really worry that we will be forced to close our doors until this thing passes. Thanks fortunately that will mean no pay for either me or my wife. Would have never thought the whole damn world would be this effected. Well at least I have solace in my home gym lol.

Been staying busy training and doing projects around the house… trying not to stress out too much bout no income coming in from myself or my wife. I’m starting to realize that this situation could continue through June or so. Hard to even wrap my brain around having to stay home for another 2-3 months.
Been trying to pick up some work here and there but finally bit the bullet and filed for unemployment. Feels like a slacker thing to do, but at the end of the day it’s the best option until I can get back to work.
Workouts have been good with all the free time. Threw my back out yesterday so we’ll see how this week goes.
Good to hear you’re healthy man. I’m sure the positive mental attitude you show to everything else will see you through this as well.
Also, amazed you guys still find the time for facebook and instagram and the like. I find it time consuming enough just to keep up with one social media. Starting to feel like a slacker.
I almost feel bad saying this, but there hasn’t been much of a change for me. My wife is home and summer break started super early, but other than that this is having a minimal effect on us. My wife is going stir crazy with the kids, but we’re not that social to begin with.
Work is a little different in that I get like 17 orders a week about how to do my job and ultimately the order says not to do my job. It’s frustrating, but whatever.
From a financial standpoint, nothing has changed for us. Actually, we’re better off because we’re not spending money on daycare and I’m working a side job at a bank on my day off. Their lobby isn’t even open for business, but it’s the corporate location and they want us there in case an angry customer arrives.
Hope you guys get through this without too much stress.
