So after competing the Bar Performance Gym this last Saturday I decided to sign up at the gym. It has 24/7 access and all the implements I need to get better at strongman. Went right after class. Signed up a then worked out.

This bar is super duper hard to hold onto. More so than I thought. 65 lbs was really hard to hold onto. I mean I knew it would be a really light exercise but I was blown away by how light.

This workout got moved up a day since I am helping my parents move Saturday and Sunday. Whole workout was on a timer because I have to squeeze this between class and work today.

2 minutes rest. During warmups I did some double overhand holds. After doing EMOMS yesterday 2 minutes felt like a long time.

Atlas Stones

4 x 1 (3 part Complex/All right side)

So the complex I used is pick, pick + extension, pick + to shoulder. Since this is the only stone I could lift today just needed to make the most of it. Only had the use of residual tacky and nothing covering my arms.

Spent the weekend helping my parents move. Lots light stuff but some stuff that qualifies as heavy. Didn’t really have to move much furniture as they had professional movers do that part. Lots of carrying stuff up stairs and down stairs. Feeling fine right now but will see how I feel when I wake up tomorrow.

Plan was to rep out 150. I missed the first rep and grinded out the second. Dropped to 80% of that; go for 3 sets of 5 or 5 sets of 3. Decided on the 3rd set to go balls out since the rep work was feeling good. Even though this was shy of a PR I still feel good about the direction of my overhead training.
