My roommate lauren is pretty hot. Shes dating a guy who has acne and is ugly. He also was that friend that was there for here during the summer when she needed support because she had a bad break up.

Perry wow thease are great real world examples on a subject that I have always presumed was an enigma. Im glad that you have shed some light and had some revilations that a guy without extrodinary looks CAN get a girl thats a dime peice (well to a certian extent).
I have however been a lazy fucker and have written a new program because thats what I fucking do. Ill follow somehthing for a few weeks then read an article on T-Nation that changes my whole perspective and then change my goals and write a new program.
In my contract im going to state specifially that no matter what happenes even if a study comes out that proves that my current training style is obsolite that im going to follow through with a miminum of 12 weeks.

i was reading Question of Strength: October by Charles Poliquin (its on the front page of T-Nation) and the interviewer asked him about crossfit and he said… well you should read it for yourself. i found that very interesting and confusing.
can someone shed some light about that? i mean cause here you are with a more than qualified strength training coach who says that about a program that is turning heads and getting a lot of recognition and people live there lives around it literally. wtf?
hes probably knocking it before hes tried it, but still, he should know not to do that.
Wow a lot to comment to and add onto. Perry, I feel your frustration. Every day I see a chubby/ fobby guy around school with a smoking hot chick whether asian, white or what have you. It makes me feel like some people just luck out. They find someone that they are some how really confident and comfortable around. That is really the only explanation. Girls are not an equation. Sometimes certain things will work while others don’t.
However, this does not mean we should give up on good strategy. The things we have learned from SS, Alpha Male, and each other is all good and will eventually work. And I agree with David, closing IS everything when it comes to success with girls. I’m not at the peak of my game, but I know I am wayyy better off than I was before. And that’s what keeps me patient. Improvement is the pillar of my success in anything.
I guess that’s my #1 rule: always be improving. I live every day to change myself for the better. (concept of “46 and 2” by tool).
#2: never live by anyone else’s terms. Whether it be religious authorities, political authorities, girls, anyone. You may always use others as guidelines and learn from those who truly matter to you, but never let someone forcefully shape your view of reality.
And David, I don’t know how your body works so I’m not sure I’m the best to give you advice on your training. But what I will say, is that it is good to stick with something and see it the whole way through. How do you know whether it works or not if you haven’t invested enough time into it? I think you have a good idea in sticking with your triathlon training or whatever it is for at least 12 weeks.
hey perry read the responses to that, it includes alot of contraversy and some people calling him out on that… the gist of it being that he was informed of it by a really bad source (muscle and fitness) and also that he failed to grasp the concept of cross fit being a program for a diverse population without any one quality being focused on.
crossfit does not aim to create the next best sprinter or specicific athlete but insted is for the fitness devotee whom is looking for a general program that will make you good at alot of things but excell at well paritcularly nothing. In this sense crossfit is a good program for the most of the population as most of us are not training for anything speciific (because as we get older sports become increasingly harder to compete in competitivly).
Im glad you pointed this out because I imedietly thought the same thing. he even states that he has barely heard of crossfit. unless you are competeing at the collegete level (like DJ) crossfit will work to get you into really good shape and improve your statistics across the board. however since DJ is playing soccer at a high level his training must be very specicific and focused on improving his athletic preformace for his sport.
One more thing about crossfit though. It is a good program but I personally still do think it does has some fallicius such as the level of difficulty (even with the scaled workouts). This contributes to a large drop out rate. Also, because I am a cocky mother fucker I was to be BIG and STRONG. I would add more maximal strength and or hypertrophy work (depending on your individual goals).

Emi, I think the majority of thouse people are not born with confidence. I really think the thing that seperates ugly guys that can get chicks and good looking guys who dont is simply this… the guys who get chicks take risks and action towrd getting them. for example if an ugly guy asks enough girls out then there will be one eventually that likes him.
on the flip side of that is if the good looking guy doesnt ask out girls no matter what unless the girl takes matters into her hands then he wont end up with a girl most of the time. The guys who are ugly who get chicks dont give a fuck that there ugly, they just play the hand there delt and find a fucking way. They dont care about their limitations, they work and work hard at develpoing other traits.
You cant hit a ball if you never swing, no matter how good of a batter you are. sometimes your going to stike out but you can take something away from that. I would rather go down swinging than looking every fucking time. perry its like that you said when u quoted “id rather be shut down for escilating, than be LGBF’ed for not”.

You make a very good point David. It is pretty simple. Eliminating the fear of rejection yields the best results. It’s simple math: If you gamble in a game where you can only win 10% of the time, and you take that gamble 1,000 times you are bound to win a lot. However, if you never play that game you will win 0% of the time.
Now the one reason a lot of people don’t gamble is when you factor in the losses. If the loss you get from losing in the game is say $100, and what you get for winning is $200 it isn’t worth it if you are only winning 10% of the time. If it worked that way statistically you would be expected to lose $800 if you played 10 times.
But the difference with girls is what do you really lose when you are turned down? Nothing! you are exactly the same as you started off. I know this is all obvious but this was sort of an epiphany I had once I thought this out in my mind.
Oh and just wondering: is that article on L-Leucine legit? I’m always cautious when I know someone might just be trying to get me to buy something.
Not only do you lose nothing I firmly belive you gain fucking valuable experience. Think about it, the more you get shot down the more you learn and more likely you are to suceed. If your not good with women the best thing you can do is to go out and get turned down as many times as possible and I garentee you will learn something about yourself. this brings me to another point, life will shit on you for good measure. what are you going to do about it? sit in the ditch and cry like a bitch? real men, real warriors fight when they face a challenge.
and T-Nation is the what I think to be the most acurate source of information brought to us by the most qualified coaches and smartest fuckers. but Emi I think thats a question we all ask ourselvs. just try and look for scientific evidence or results from real people whom have tried it. but i garentee you can find alot of people out there whom will tell u something else. It sucks but thats life for ya.
honestly though, all you need is good real food, protein, and fishoil. fuck thres people who are fucking beasts who just eat 3 meals a day. suppliments besides the ones mentioned above are icing on the cake and should only be concidered if you have exceptional nutritional and trining habits already. because that foundation will make a hell of a lot bigger impact than a suppliment could.

hey guys woke up at 5:45 downed a protein shake and got my ass to the track by 6.
warmed up 1/2 mile followed by lots of dynamic things like skipping and highknees etc… then some static streches followed by easy 100’s for warm up
workout:

4x40 all out
then ran about 3/4 mile and said fuck it i need more rest to be effective so later today i have legs (max strength) and 12 mins of continuous running
I like to see that you are getting back into hard training. You know you are serious when you’re getting up to train at 6 AM. I, on the other hand, am starting to fall back on my physical training. I am at the conclusion of my super-hero work out that you gave me mid-summer and i think it was a pretty good program for me.
I have been getting a lot of compliments on my physique but I haven’t reached my goal of 165-170 pounds. Last time I checked I’m still 160, but I think I’ve lost a bit of strength over the past couple of weeks. Between my classes, fraternity commitments, working 15 hours a week, and harder access to the gym, I have been finding it really hard to stick with my training.
Normally I would go to the gym in between classes, but I’ve been assigned so much shit I can’t do that anymore. I haven’t even had mid-terms yet and I’m having days where I’m on campus from 9AM to 11pm. At this point I think my goal is just to maintain my strength and size until I have a little more free time, but I don’t know when that will be.
Oh and Perry, I’ll try your experiment next time I blow my load. I think I’m gonna wait at least 2-3 days before that tho.
Emi dude i have days where all i have is Yoga. just something to look into maybe you should look into is bodyweight training. no need to go to the gym and its a change of pace. it can directly be corrilated to how much effort you put in. ex. if you have 5 to 10 mins you can bust out a circut. just a thought.
