lol, this.
Also, FWIW… I bulked from ~165 to ~220 in about 18 months. I was able to hold 220 for a while before my body just started dropping weight. No matter what I ate, how hard I trained, or how much I rested, my body just did not want to hold onto that extra mass.
It was quite alarming, really.
Maybe it’s just a bodyweight set point thing?
(I only skimmed this thread, hope it’s relevant enough) hah
NM.
Read the thread… mystery solved.
yay.

I think people always look bigger when they are leaner (not to be confused with skinnier). Thats just me though.

Yeah without shirts on, and look like twigs with shirts on[/quote]
My example may be skewed, but look at lee priest. In the classic pictures of him wolfing down some fried chicken and other shit while he is crazy overweight. He looks like a normal big guy who picks up heavy shit as a hobby.

Now direct your eyes to him in this pic.
I think his arms look a bit bigger in this one, but thats just me. To each his own.
EDIT: I am not so sure about the circumstances surrounding each pic so take it with a grain of salt. I mean in one he is obviously doing a dirty bulk and in the other he is in contest shape.

Why is Platz screaming?

Is there some kind of no screaming policy on T-Nation that I am not aware of?
This will not make Tom Platz happy.

Was just curious. I’m all for screaming. This isn’t Planet Fitness.
Brother: Platz was always screaming… I met him as a kid back in the late 70s and he spoke very, very loud… man, he was one motivating man to be around though!
I can hear him now: “Squeeze those tris super boy! Squeeze 'em! Awesommmmmmme!!!”
mrwayne, so what’s your question, or overall point?

Been answered… but, it was if anyone had experience with that type of loss and any advice on the road back. I think mostly I was asking if there was some kind of something I was messing up on to keep me from getting my weight back as quickly as I usually can, since it has been an amazingly different struggle this time around.
