Hi Brian,

Can Surge Workout Fuel be mixed in the morning (powder, flavouring and water) refridgerated and drunk 8 hours later prior to working out or does mixing it prior affect the quality of the Surge Workout Fuel?

Thanks
This is fine.

We’ll often mix it the night before when working with athletes that will be training in the morning.
No issues pre-mixing ANACONDA the night before either?
I reah in another thread Thibs said it was fine to mix ANACONDA up a few hours before but he didnt recommend mixing it the night before as something happens to it…

Cheers mate

What’s wrong with shaking my newly effervescent SURGE and ANACONDA/MAG-10 formula in a shaker bottle? It says on the label, due to the effervescent nature of this formula, do not shake in a shaker bottle. What would happen if I did this?

By the way, after reading that question i just typed, I can tell I just started taking Alpha-GPC again. lol

Answered a few posts before you. It might blow up and take your head off, or something like that.

Can one of you guys who’s bought the ‘old’ and ‘new’ Surge Workout Fuel help me out?

I guess I got some of the ‘old’ stuff. It says it’s 900g on the tub (1lb 15.8oz). The new formula says it’s got ‘44% more’.

On the buying page, it seems to list two weights for the product, above Thibaudeau’s topless pic it says ‘4.8lb’ (about 2kg+ by my reckoning).

However at the bottom of the article promoting the product, below pic of Surge Workout Fuel, it says ‘1 lb 15.8 oz’.

Am i being thick here, or is there a mix-up? How much is in the version which is currently available?

Also, as a bonus question, what’s up with the flavour system? What’s nice? My instinct was to go for berry, is that good?

It is definitely over 4lbs. It comes in a much larger container and contains a lot more.

All of the flavors are good. I personally use berry the most for SWF. The flavoring is very strong. Only put in a little at first and then add more if it needs it. I usually pour it into the cap until it covers the bottom and that’s it. I think even a 1/4 cap is pushing it, but everyone’s taste is different.

Anyone have any advice or tips on adding the liquid flavoring. Seems half the time, i tend to spill a few drops on my hands or counter.

I got 2 last week and they said 4.2 pounds on the containers. Taste was great with very little flavoring. Noticed better performance on last two sessions. At $2+ a serving I will use this on high volume days.

Just wanted to give a little feedback after using the Working Fuel for the last couple of weeks. So far my recovery time in the gym has been amazing. I will typically do four training sessions a week all a mix of full body work followed by ten to fifteen minutes of condition work at the end of the each workout.

My workout energy has been good even after switching to training first thing in the morning which I wasn’t so sure would work out very well, but with the inclusion of workout fuel i feel much better then i did when not using it for the previous two weeks morning training sessions. Really the biggest difference has been my recovery times. They are immensely shorter. Barely any DOMS to speak of, especially when compared to the previous few weeks before I started using SWF.

The SWF and SR combo has been a real godsend and kudos to Biotest as a company for bringing it to the masses at a very reasonable price ($4.00 per workout) (just a little side note i have used SR steadily over the last couple of years so my performance and recovery increase isn’t because of that, but rather its from the inclusion of SWF and the synergy of the two together)

With being an assistant manager at a Vitamin Shoppe store I have had the opportunity to try out a lot of different workout supplements and so far I have found a combination that fuels my workout as well as these two products and believe me I have tried a lot (synthesize & shotgun, cellmas, n-o-xplode & BSN and Hydrowhey with Optimums Creatine Preload Complex) So far Biotest has far and away the best combo in my opinion.

Now that is my positive take on things, and while I hate to get negative about a very good product I do want to give a complete review. My really lone negative is the flavoring system. Both how it is delivered and how it tastes. Now I am sure plenty of people have tried the different flavors even before the product was released to us mere mortals  and it passed whatever preliminary trials it had to first and I except that taste is a very subjective thing.

With all that being said to me the two flavors I chose ( orange and berry) are not very good at all, in my humble opinion. On top of that the liquid flavoring system isn’t as covenient as just putting two scoops of powder into a shaker cup and going about your business. Plus I don’t know if anyone else has had the misfortune of spilling some of the liquid flavoring or having some dribble down the side of the bottle, but when this stuff hits countertop it doesn’t come up very easily.

One positive made for a great upper body, shoulder warm up trying to wipe this stuff off the counter one morning before a workout  All kidding aside I sincerely hope that Surge Recovery doesn’t go the way of the Liquid Flavoring system as well. The original flavor is really perfect as is to me and it would really be a shame to lose it.

In summing things up though it really does seem to be a great formula especially when combined with Surge Recovery. My energy in the gym has been good, but my recovery time has been drastically cut in half. I haven’t experienced recovery wise from any other combo of supplements like I have from SWF and SR. That being said the flavors in my opinion really leave something to be desired and the flavor delivery system really is god awful in my book. The stuff seems to work as advertised though. Good stuff Biotest.

How much longer than 15 minutes before training/competition can you use the new formula and still get all the benifits? I have 8-12 athletes who use the old formula before games, but they have a varying tolerance for comsuming lots of liquid right before a game. So some of them will start to drink it well before the game and sip it up until 5 minutes before start time. Is this approach OK or are we wasting product because it’s past its point of being effective in the body after a short time?

I’ve had success using a needleless syringe. You can find small ones that are only 1ml or 3ml. The 1ml tend to work best for me since I use less than 1 ml per serving of Surge Workout Fuel

I just got my order of Surge Workout Fuel, I dont have Surge Recovery for post workout. How can I take my Surge Workout Fuel alone to get the most out of it? What are some other options for post workout since I dont have Surge Recovery? And lastly im assuming not to take Surge Workout Fuel on off days? Thanks again

and you have pretty much wasted your money. My advice, keep the container sealed, read several of the nutritional articles on this site about nutrition and Peri-workout supplementation, then apply what you learn.
Or a good read would be “Nutrient Timing”

Dont see how I wasted money? I bought Surge Workout Fuel because I want to get the most out of workouts. I was simply asking for recommendations as an alternative for Surge Recovery.

An eye dropper works great.

Whether you use Surge Recovery post-workout or not should make a difference in how you use Surge Workout Fuel. The label recommendations are still appropriate.

Surge Workout Fuel is designed for peri-workout use, so you normally wouldn’t use it on non-training days.

How important is “Cold” water when preparing our supps, Metabolic Drive, the Surges, ANACONDA…is room temperature sufficient? ANACONDA for example instructs keep refrigerated.

The products will taste better and go down easier when mixed with cold water.

This last week I gave Surge Workout Fuel a go during my workouts and let me tell you its 100% legit. I followed the directions and consumed it 15 min prior to lifting and during my workouts (1 serving). I read many suggetions in Thibs periworkout forum for ideas because I would like to incorporate Surge Recovery as well. Have you guess had any success with a certain protocol using Surge Workout Fuel and Surge Recovery? Please offer any suggestions. I thought about 2 scoops Surge Workout Fuel before and during workout and 2 scoops Surge Recovery after workout.

I also read that Surge Recovery will induce an insulin spike during workout when consumed prior to lifting. So I thought maybe
-30 min 2 scoops Surge Workout Fuel
-15 min-1st half of WO 1 scoop Surge Recovery
2nd half WO- 1 scoop Surge Recovery
+60 2scoop Grow! Whey + 1 cup oatmeal

Once again im just looking to use both Surge Workout Fuel and Surge Recovery effectiently so any suggested protocols will be benificial thanks.
