Great stuff… Anyone agree? Disagree?
I just made my high friend watch that while I left and he just said it was the worst thing ever
It’s even worse if you are not stoned
Definitely interesting. I was bummed that they cut it off at the end of the seminar. A one hour and a half tease. I think he takes a lot of things and “fits” them to his theory. I have seen quite a few shows about 12/21/2012 and the end of the world based on the Mayan calender and the ancient Chinese calander and the bottom line is nobody knows what will happen. As a matter of fact i believe that because “the time” has been called out it excludes it from being “the time”. Just my informed opinion. Besides, most of the things he talks about are almost impossible to discern because nobody knows what the heck he is talking about. There are not enough points of reference to be able to give it the true smell test. The points of reference I do have don’t pass it.
I dont remember who said it, but it went something like:
“People have been saying that the world is going to end tomorrow since the world began…and they will continue to say it is as long as there are people gullible enough to believe them and people willing to profit from it.”
I thought it was interesting, but even with my limited academic background(never having taken a physics class), I definitely felt he was fitting everything to his theory, as someone else put it. He also keeps pointing to stuff and saying it is all proven scientific fact. Very little in science is actually proven, especially if you get into physics and quantum mechanics. It is mostly theory and hypothesis.
Spiritualistic bollocks, fitting science to suit nonsense
There are some people absolutely convinced 2012 will bring about catastrophic events.
There is one author who bought a large area of land atop some mountains where he believes will be safe during the chaotic events. His plan is to salvage as much history as possible and have enough people living their to help repopulate earth once the whole thing is over.
I can’t remember his name, but that’s how convinced he is. He’s written a couple books on the subject and I don’t see how him buying land and having people live their helps him profit.

True, profit is most likely not his motivation. He is most likely a true believer, and very possibly nuttier than bat shit.

“Now look at the structure of some of the statues at the Vatican…don’t they look like similar structures from Egyptian tombs?”
Okay, I could go on and on. But all you really have to do is look at the audience which they only showed a couple of times.
Who was in it?
About 80% gullible women and the other 20% made up of impressionable young people.
It’s a load of crap. But it does one thing for certain. It makes the people money. They were at a Hilton doing this seminar and after that they probably appeared at a Sheratan and on and on…

great point. It does seem like everyone has something to say about peoples fears and irrationality. Its almost a burden being human these days for some of us.

Very little in science is proven. Which is why whenever something happens or something new is discovered, there will always be critics. But hell, if the world is gonna end, its gonna end. There is no point in worring about it continuously. Science may even figure out the possible events leading to the worlds destruction, but why not just create a replacement for the internal combustion engine so once the oil reserves are gone, humans can still have something to function with. I am not wanting a new source of energy to stop the climate change, that happens inevitably.
But worrying about 2012 is pointless. All of science is just theory and 2012 just expands on that. Why not let it go? Well, the population has lost the ability to believe in anything, and this is what is left.
It’s no wonder why anyone would say that either… Particle accelerators, Bose-Einstein Condensate, Shiva Stars, Black Hole Creators… If religion doesn’t do us in, science certainly will.
This whole, end of times business I think is highly misconstrued. Like the movie above was getting at, I also think the two disciplines (science and religion) will come to a focal immersion and essentially be indistinguishable (like any sufficiently advanced technology will be indistinguishable from magic). The book above is a great read… a great read. It might help to understand some things today as well as bring to consciousness a new insight, or philosophy if you will, of what “end times” really mean to us.
People eat this stuff up because of their fear. Everyone fears death, but everyone knows it’s going to happen to them eventually. If you ask me, I would LOVE to die in the “end of the world.” If I have to go down, why wouldn’t I want to see the entire world go down at the same time?
It means that everyone you know goes down with you, so there’s no grief about your death and you don’t grieve about the death of loved ones, PLUS you don’t miss out on anything! Going down with the rest of the world means that you got to witness the peak of human civilization.

Hey Blue, my brother is reading that book right now and tells me it’s amazing. I plan on borrowing it from him as soon as he’s done with it.
The world is gonna end in 2012 when the Raelions go to war with the Scientologists.
