Mehdi at Stronglifts put together this great list (with videos) of what he considers the 10 most impressive squats.

Seconded. They make it look so easy.
jeeze the no no squats were impressive that was nearly 3x bodyweight for VERY easy double with a high bar position and narrow stance atg.
The #4 was hilarious but not that impressive to be #4 he was well above parallel and negative squats like that are easier especailly when they are that high.
Not bad list, not many new age powerlifters no ed coan either
- YouTube this one is pretty impressive non suit 420kg atg squat.
This came up on an Irish forum today… .Here’s my exact reply;
WHAT…THE…FCUK.
Bud Jeffries is one the list? Bud fcuking Jeffries???
Chakarov’s squat was awesome, but there’s guy of a similar weight doing the same and more.
EDIT: I spoke too soon, Guadamud’s 310x2 is on it.
I don’t understand how Marunde’s made it onto the list ahead of Platz. I personally know several guys who have done 180kg (400lb) x20. It’s a ridiculously HUGE accomplishment, but still within grasp for alot of guys.
Hoop’s squat was sick. But if you’re gonna include him you should also think about Olech.
I cannot believe that there’s no mention of the greatest squatter EVER - Ed Coan. That is the biggest problem I have with the list.
No Belyaev either but that’s not surprising since the list is so heavily US focused.
Yep platz should have been on there instead of marunde, and ed coan should have been top 3 if not #1-yet first ever 1000 is historic-
My 10 would have been something like
Didn’t include any new age triple ply quater squats since I think their insane but not the same as full squat. So not as impressive to me, especailly since only doing little more then IPF federation squatters. You could prob tweak this a bit but thats a better list imo.

I have to agree with you. The Bud Jeffries wasn’t impressive. His legs barely moved at all.
The first one though was pretty crazy. I watched the video of him failing on the first one, and I am surprised he still came back.
Tom Platz - 500+ 23 Repper
Ronnie - Ridiculous Front Squat
Hoss - 1000+ for 3 reps
Vlad’s World Record Squat (Duh)
Sam Byrd 1000+ at 198lbs
Chuck V’s 1150 at 264lbs
Yes, I think it looks like Chuck’s collar is popped. What about it?
These are in no particular order.

It is hard to compile lists like these and they become entirely dependent on a person breadth of knowledge, point of reference and historical perspective. Know what I mean?
Having neither Coan nor Bridges (not to mention Crain squatted 800 @ 165 many years ago) on there is strange but the reality of it is it’s a list compiled based on a person’s opinion.
Just like Fighting Scott finds Ronnie’s front squats impressive while I kind of yawn having spotted Gillingham doing monsterous RAW drug free front squats with mind numbing power out of the hole just banging depth.
It’s all relative. I found it to be very entertaining although, unfortunately, the Moran video would not execute for me.
Ed is the greatest ever.
Where is Rickey Dale Crain and his 800 at 165?
George
Chakarov’s squat is awesome, although he did 270kg x 3 the day after that 265kg (Randall Strossen was there again, and the usual photo of Chakarov that’s thrown about is taken at the bottom of one of those reps), and he’s apparently done 350kg, hence why he could clean 222.5kg like it’s 60kg AND pull it in an arc around his knees AND catch it bolt upright.
Ivan Ivanov’s over triple bodyweight front squat at the start of the Ironmind Bulgarian tape is pretty damn impressive, as is Vanev’s 250kg front squat.
