Thanks to all for the welcome back messages, really appreciated.
Home rehab: lot of hanging, still leaning back slightly, a lot of pulley work, hooked up a system in the garage, and basic stretching. Swimming as much as I can. Breast stroke no problem but arm still slightly off to the side on the crawl. Tried some very low intensity throwing. Whipping the left arm around on the delivery ain’t real pleasant at this point. Wife’s been massaging the shoulder nightly and helping me stretch it.
Lost 10lb since the operation. Bench is coming back, inclines still out and only light flyes. Capable of most leg work minus squats. Can’t get my arm back and it sits right on the delts for front squats. Back work’s pretty much limited to light seated rows. Shoulder work was next to nil in the first month. Started with a soup can for overhead press, progressed through the pantry working up to liter juice jugs and finally back to the gym and the bar.
Brings me to the present and I’m just trying to increase the lifts I can do and add more lifts as I go.

1 mile run, 1 mile walk

Unseasonably warm, beautiful, weather down here. Grilled some rib eyes, sipping Jameson, and enjoying a nice stogie. Life is still good but hard to believe I become eligible for Social Security this month.

Tried very light shrugs, no go yet

Leg press
up to 450 x a bunch

hangs 20x5 sec per. Trying to get to straight vertical, not there yet, much owie envolved.

The world masters T&F championships are in Daegu, Korea this month. I was stationed there from '83 to '85 and still have many Korean friends there. So wanted to compete. C’est la vie.

Awwwww, too bad you can’t compete. Once you get that new shoulder broke in, you’ll bring home some medal next year. I have no doubt.

got me one of them there partial fake knees.
took a bit- but went from 1/4lb ankle weights
curses and tears, two years later- I am squatting well- pulling meh.
cant run cant jump.

Standing cable flyes 20,30,40x10 (not too bad but left arm still doesn’t go back past my chest but used these as a stretch as much as a lift.

Inclines still a no good and my attempt at dips resulted in little more then dropping down about 3" and back up

Found I can do some light face pulls and did 40x10x3
lateral raises with the cute, little pink dumbbells 5#s result in 10x3 and snickers from some of my fellow gym goers.
That was it. Walked 2 miles after lunch.

Wait! What? That’s not how you’re supposed to do them? :joy:
I cheat and use a band. :weary:

Any twit can look badass lifting heavy weight.

Only the truly gifted can look badass using pink dumbbells.

I feel so much better now.
