That One Song...

Thats such a hard call to make, but I would definitly choose Hard Rock, or Heavy Metal!!

Hells Bells by ACDC is a good one I have to say, the guitar together with bell in the intro is just awesome!

Slayer hasn’t been mentioned yet, I think “Seasons in the Abyss” or “Reign in Blood” could be quite cool.

Once upon a time in the West, is also really cool…the Movie is called “Spiel mir das Lied vom Tod”(Play me the song of Death) in German.

New Noise is another one…

…or I always loved that Scene in Apocalypse Now where they attack a village with Helicopters and they play “The song of the Valkyrs” (sp?) by Wagner.

This is a cool thread!

Yup.

“Bodily Dismemberment” -Rigor Mortis

or

this one… America - Fuck Yeah - YouTube

The real answer to this question is Tom Sawyer by Rush.
Rush is da bomb.

Rooster by alice in chains.
War pigs by ozzy ozborne
Heart Shaped Box- nirvana.

Nirvana never seems to get any props from anyone. Why is this?

Some good ones here so far, but no one hit my favorite: Unsung by Helmet.

We used to come out to “Back in Black” in high school, which was highly original in that our home jerseys were black.

What would that song be?

Rage Against the Machine’s, “Bulls on Parade” (especially the last minute or two, “Come wit it now!”)

I’ll second that.

A second choice would be “The Crimson” by Atreyu. The beginning riff (even though they hijacked it) gets me hyped whenever I hear it. Plus who the F wants to fuck with a bunch of motherfuckers turning into vampires?

I checked out “The Crimson” on Amazon after I read this. Sorry, but the dude sounds like Fred Durst getting buttfucked…

Just
couldn’t
get
past
that…

Gotta think running (as the players will be) and fast-paced music:

“Kick-Start My Heart” by Motely Crue; timeless.

I like Nirvana Barn, “Dive” is pretty good. I crank that up sometimes when I’m lifting. Nirvana - Dive Music Video - YouTube

I got your back with Nirvana. All the pain in Kurt’s voice can psyche you up pretty good in some of his heavier songs.

We came out to Thunderstuck. Damn I miss the lights one Friday night while that song plays and the game is about to start.

We used to walk out to “Back in Black” by AC/DC. It fired me up pretty good, yet we got our asses handed to us game after game because the coaching staff was stuck in a time warp.

I get fired up by all sorts of music
but I think these songs might do the trick:

“Crazy Train”- Ozzy
“Rock You Like a Hurricane”- Scorpions
“Iron Man”- Black Sabbath

All of my heaviest sets are to that tune.

Plus, it’s the only hard rock song in the world with a self-referential career assessment for a bridge.

Shut 'em down-public enemy

Lots of good ones mentioned. Here’s a couple of somewhat obscure tunes that would make great choices:

Loudmouth-Fly (from the Varsity Blues soundtrack)

Pharoah Monch-Simon Says Get the **** Up (Boiler Room sdtrk)

Others: ACDC-If You Want Blood You Got It

Machine Head-Bulldozer

Nonpoint-Bullet With A Name

Coal Chamber-Loco

Static X-I Want to F**king Break It

Pantera-Cowboys From Hell

“Die MF, Die” by Dope.

I think Die MF, Die by the ghetto boys is much better.

Yes, ok, you can imagine some white-trash guy listening to the ghetto boys, and put my face on him, knock yourself out.
That’s funny. Geto Boys, “Still” was actually the first song that came to mind. It’s what they played in Office Space with the fax machine getting stomped…

My personal props to AC/DC, PE, White Zombie, AIC and Disturbed. Good choices there.

Whoever mentioned Ennio Morricone… As much as I love those spaghetti western soundtracks, this occasion calls for some seriously angry rap or heavy metal.

Which brings to mind LL Cool J, “Mama Said Knock You Out”!

It’s “Ride of the Valyries,” just in case you were curious. Very good one!

Sympathy for the Devil ~ The Rolling Stones

Just for the dramatic entrance (plus, my school is the Blue Devils, so it fits).

I love Nirvana as well, but Heart Shaped Box is not what I would want playing when I take the field.
The other two are good choices though.

Phantom of the Opera by Iron Maiden would be good.

It would have been
“Fade Into You–Mazzy Starr”
But doogie got to it first.

Imperial Death March (Darth Vader’s Theme), but a cover version with just drums and bagpipes. If that version does not exist, it should.

The Game by Drowning Pool
Fuck yeah. I thought I was the only one listening to that before the lift. Watching HHH at his biggest EVER come out for the championship match to that song, live, was sick.

Another WWE track: Shadows Fall - Fury of the Storm (RVD).

Korn: Here To Stay, or if you’re up to it, the lesser-known Twist.

Disturbed - Ten Thousand Fists (my #1 pick for an HS football team entrance)

and a rap choice:
Diplomats - Dipset Anthem
Jay-Z - U Don’t Know remix
