Nice! two PRs in one workout!
Alisa, you got the 40s up?!?! Nice!
You are lifting strong, and your confidence for this meet should be building.

deadlifts: 10@65, 5@115, 5@135, 5@155, 5@175, 5@205, 3@225, 4x1@245 (PR!)
seated DB overhead press: 10@25’s, 5@30’s, 5@35’s, 1@40’s (PR! so shaky)
overhead squats: 3x5@45, 5@55, 5@65, 4/2@75.
I was stupid and used the conference I was going to as an excuse for lots of carbs; now I feel shitty. Math + bagels feels good in the moment though. And tonight was good.
Also : singlet came in the mail![/quote]
holy shit!!! bad ass seated db press and overhead squats!!! 40’s! wow girl… u’re gettin damn strong.
i feel ya on the carbs. the second i start eating them i want moarmoarmoar!
Wow, you’re coming on in leaps and bounds.
Carbs = crack.
You are doing amazing! How does the singlet fit? Does it look super cute? How long until your meet?
Thanks guys!
Pics in the singlet will follow.
My meet is in a week.
good work on those PR’s Ali!
Amazing deadlifts. I’m excited to see what you pull at the meet

x 1000
had a shitty day but lifting made it better.
squats: 5@95, 5@115, 5@135, 5@155, 5@165, 2@175
good mornings: 10@45, 10@65, 10@75, 10@85
pause squats: 5x5@95, super deep, tried the breathing mechanism.
push press: 5@65, 5@75, 5@85, 2@95 – I thought the “push” part would make it easier to do super heavy weights but it seems I don’t quite have the hang of it. I feel like I’m going to topple over in the “up” position.
I should be drinking water this week. I hate water. It makes me pee.
Alisa,
Water is good. Peeing is good. Unless you are in danger of not hitting your weight class, keep drinking. I read some stat once about how low hydration negatively affects strength. It was amazing.
You should be done training. Your meet is this Saturday, right? Lay low, girl. Rest up for the big event.
And good luck!
If CBear were here she’d be yelling at you to put lime in the water. It really helps when you’re getting sick of drinking it I’ve found. I know what you mean though.
Cherish the pee breaks lol. Its a legitimate excuse to stop what you’re doing and enjoy one of life’s most simple pleasures.
oh I’ll try to appreciate them.
Really no more? I was hoping to get in one or two more good workouts…

My last heavy work is around seven days out. I don’t do anything to tire my core, triceps, or hams the week of. I might do a little bit of light “pump” work four days out, but I really just stick to cardio, and even keep that at a minimum if I’m dieting.
If you don’t lift for a couple of days, your body will be screaming to work hard on Saturday.
sound advice Alisa! take her easy ![]()
Get FIRED UP!!

The promised singlet shots:

And, invariably, the rear view. One hell of a “before” picture!
I seriously love the red!! You look super! And you’ll do awesome.
What she^ said
And the countdown begins.
For water, personally i can drink plain water by the gallon( as long as it’s cold, i am the guy carrying a gallon jug around with me everywhere i go), but that’s me. Alisa, maybe you could try those sugar free crystal light packets. They have alot of flavors and you can adjust how strong it is by adding more or less water or packets.
