Texas Warming

I went to middle school in Harlingen, and I’ve never been in weather that brutal.

“Climate change” might be a better term for those who don’t have a solid grasp of the math.

So now i guess the question becomes, do you prefer it hot or cold?

I personally prefer the one where you can take your shirt off at night and NOT freeze to death.

heat index around 110 today… good day to workout in the garage when I get home…Humid to say the least…I used to live in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia it would hit 120+ with 80% humidity…NASTY…

Left wing bullsh1t.

Stop throwing around “GLOBAL WARMING” like you know we caused it. 10 Years ago PRE-GORE, you didnt even know Global and Warming could be used in the same sentence.

The weather patterns change dramatically over the course of hundreds of millions of years. It gets hot, it gets cold, etc. The earth is NOT going to die tomorrow or in a thousand years do to global warming. We have been tracking the weather for about 100 Years. That is a drop of water in the ocean of time that the earth has existed with livable conditions.

Yeah some ice has melted, some photographs of the atmosphere show some tiny holes in it, can anyone prove that this didnt happen 100K years ago?

This is the natural revolution of the climate on earth. Hot and Cold comes and goes but one thing is consistent. Crazy people that like to cry wolf to get attention. (Liberals, Left Wings, ProF X)

You’re an idiot. Where is global warming written in the OP?

Guess what, doofus, it was NOT written for a fucking reason…so that dumbasses like you would NOT come in here.

This has been covered already. You are a sheep if topics are limited by political stance to you.

No discussion can take place among the ignorant.

Come to Colorado. You’ll regret it in a few months and be longing for the heat.

Been there. I like cold weather.

What I hate is feeling like I have asthma because of the height above sea level.

I’m living in an area where it regularly reaches 100. Been around when it gets over 105. Absolutely brutal, especially playing football in that. I would prefer to live in a much cooler area.

This is random but it’s weird how everyone seems to unanimously agree that it’s a beautiful day when it’s 90+ outside. I couldn’t disagree more. A beautiful day to me is probably in the 60’s with cloudy skies and some rain. I guess a decade worth of football in the heat has made me hate summer days, unless i’m at the lake…

This entire week here in Kansas City the temp was in the upper 90’s with heat indexes of 110-120, the good news is in 5 months it’ll be 0 with a wind chill of -20. Why the fuck do I still live in this shit hole.[/quote]

I had an experience in Kansas once…

Sad thing is…that picture is exactly what happened in real life. I saw all four fucking seasons in ONE DAY. And lightning. And hail. And a tornado warning. What the fuck??

"I mean…what happens if there is global warming and you fuckers don’t do shit until we get microwaved off this rock?! "

Your topic is “TEXAS WARMING”. Sure that could be taken as a simple, texas is warming up, but uh, no sh1t, its the summer time, ofcourse texas is “WARMING”.

No, i dont think so. look at your above lines… you made this post dancing all around it. You just didnt come out right and say it. Either man up and post an opinion or dont, or better yet, make a completely black and white post like “TEXAS IS HOT” “IT WAS 102 IN HOUSTON TODAY, SURE IS HOT DOWN HERE”.

Wow that was completely to the point and you really cant take any other meaning out of that.

Now go back and read what you originally posted. THANKS.

It’s been blasting over 100 forever here in TX. I’m an old bastard and I remember 107-108 as a teenager way back in 1979.

What does that have to do with POLITICS? Why do people like you jump up any time someone even discusses whether our own overpopulation and lack of waste management could ever affect how we live?

You would have to be really stupid to think these will never be major issues to our own survival and whether the temperature is cyclical or not, those issues still stand as our future.

I’ve lived in Texas most of my life. The sun didn’t burn you like this when I was a kid. I don’t see how people got by without tinted windows in the 80’s because this shit is brutal. Discussing that has NOTHING to do with “liberals and conservatives”.

You have just been brain washed to think it does.

We have climate records going back hundreds of thousands of years.

Heat is the #1 natural killer in this country. You hear of very few people freezing to death, but hundreds of elderly die every year from heat stress. Also, you can always wear more clothes, but can only strip down so far.

Still I prefer heat to cold. Luckily, we here in Michigan have both extremes, some subzero days in the winter and some 98 degree 98% humidity days in the summer.

As a kid who grew up in southern Louisiana and now a current resident of Dallas, I can second what X is saying. I travel to Houston a few times a month myself and it is fucking brutal there–unquestionably worse than Dallas with the humidity, and it only seems to be getting worse with each passing year. Like him, I remember being able to spend my summer days outside, but now I can’t even fathom the idea of going for a short run outside in this heat. Dallas has been reporting record breaking numbers all summer and I suspect things won’t be slowing down anytime in the near future.

I moved from New Mexico to West Texas in '79. That was the hottest summer I can remember. Over 105 for a while.

This is the same load of Bullshit I hear everyday. You guys get caught up on key words or political phrases “global warming” and go on Auto pilot when people say. “fuck it’s getting worse ever year” . And how do you come back? “well the earth has been doing this since time began.” YES and we are not helping the matter either.

Also how about this “Fuck the Earth” Save ME!!! Because the winters are getting blizzard like every year and the summers are like walking with the sun on my back in MD.

Fuck the catch words save me!

It is not hotter now than when you were a kid. You live in a dream world where only things in your present time register in your tiny brain.

It only feels hotter because you cant recall your childhood with the kind of clarity that you can feel with all 5 of your senses right now.

Also you are not as fat as a kid as you probably are now, so yeah you cant walk outside without sweating. Try some cardio, less cake.

You need to start researching before you claim that it is hotter now than when you were a kid. Oh and dallas hasnt seen any record numbers this year. ITS REALLY HOT HERE but nothing record breaking.

Look at this link it tells you the record highs for each year for Dallas. Guess what, the hottest year on record is in 1956. 109 Degrees. Wow im sure they thought they were experiencing global warming back then too.

you can also find other useful information at that link that will lead to the conclusion that you dont know what the F*ck you are talking about.
