So, I have been on 75mg Test twice a week and 1.5mg Arimidex (.5mg 3 times a week) for over a month now. Just got bloodwork back and test was VERY high which is great. The problem is E2 was less than 3, so it was basically completely gone. My doctor wants me to go down to 1mg of Arimidex a week. My worry is that I’m an over responder and I may need to be on an even lower dose. What say you KSman?
I’m not KS but I am on the same protocol as you and had the same problem…didn’t feel terrible but I didn’t feel great. I quit taking the AI for a week and then started back at .5 mg 2x per week. I did continue the hcg that week. I do the hcg + AI the day after my T shot. I think KSman does everything on the same day. I’m still experimenting to see what works best for me and will be getting new labs this month to see where I am but I feel much better and everything is working better…awesome morning wood, etc. Everyone is unique and seems to respond a little differently so it’s interesting to hear all the bro science on this forum…I love this site! Good to hear from you again,
EZrider
EZrider, thanks for the input as always. Glad to hear that you are doing a bit better.
Bump for KSman. Is it possible that the .5mg a week reduction will get my E2 levels in an acceptable range, or am I likely an over responder and need a lower dose than 1mg a week?

The standard to lower your dosage of Adex is to go off for a week and then re-start at the lower dose. Given that your E2 is so low I don’t see a problem with trying the recommended over responder dosage and then see where your E2 lands with your next set of labs.
There is a formula that I can’t quite remember but if you searched in the stickies you would probably find. It’s taking your current E2, ideal E2 (22 is typical ideal value), and amount you are using and determining new dosage.
The other option is to plan on doing the lower dose, cut out adex until you get morning wood and then add it back in. It’s a process to hone it and it will never be exact due to fluctuations in your body due to diet, stresses, etc.
BTW- I’m still trying to find my adex sweet spot. I’m on 100mg Test cyp 2x/week, 500iu hCG 2x/week, and 1mg adex/week split into ~1/3 pills. E2 is still an issue for me but I haven’t gotten a lab value yet on it since starting adex to know where im at…

Nevermind, KSman. I went to an endocrinologist that took care of everything. What an awesome experience. If you are in Nashville go see Dr. Dauphin in Green Hills. He was all for twice a week at home injections as well as HCG and arimidex. Since I have primary hypogonadism he didn’t think HCG would help, but he immediately wrote me a script for test and arimidex.
He laughed at the notion of injections every 2 or 3 weeks and said 1 week bare minimum. I am now doing 75 test injections twice a week and .5mg of Arimidex EOD. Excited to see if I start feeling better and if we see my libido back to normal.[/quote]
Orange,
How are you doing with Dauphin? Still satisfied? he sounds promising. I am in Music City as well - he sounds hopeful. I am looking to do twice a week Test/HCG/Arm. Did a month on a transdermal and test is lower. injections might be best hope.
Dr. Dauphin is great. I promise you that you aren’t going to find a better TRT doc in town. He will take care of you. I’m on twice a week Test (self injections) and Arimidex. I don’t need the HCG, but he uses it with a lot of his patients. My T is so high that it is almost out of range, and he is all for leaving it that way.

i think i will consider giving him a call. thanks for the follow-up info.
Of course. Best of luck.
Congratulations OW on your transformation. I saw your before and after shots in another forum…unbelievable man. You are an inspiration and I hope others that find themselves in your situation will not give up but will learn from you what it means to take control of your own health and be an overcomer.
I finally got dialed in and listed my benefits on 2bstrongers thread “My Benefits from TRT”. I would love to hear what your doing and how you got to where you are.
BTW I had to quit the ai completely for now. I am an over responder and will have to find what works best for me.

Good to hear from you again, EZ. Thanks for the kind words. It now feels like going through surgery/chemo was just a bad dream. I woke up from it three days after my last treatment, went to work, went to the gym, and haven’t looked back. I was pretty worthless in the gym for those first few weeks! That was four months ago now.
I’m happy to go in depth about training/diet/whatever you want to know. I lift 5 days a week (chest/arms/shoulders/legs/back) and do abs and calves twice a week. Try to stick to 200g of protein and about that many healthy carbs (no bread or white starchy carbs). Get my fats from olive oil, eggs, coconut oil, nuts, fish, and avocados. I eat 4 meals a day plus a protein shake and a cup of greek yogurt.
So you couldn’t find a dose of AI that worked for you despite being an over responder? I am interested to see where my E2 is with my next set of bloodword. I lowered my dose from 1.5mg to 1mg a week because my E2 was essentially 0. I’m thinking I need to go even lower though because my libido is still pretty darn low after a month of doing 1mg a week.
Stop for a week as previously said. Why not try .5 mg after that and see where you land?
I kind of hate to mess around with the dosing before getting bloodwork done. Maybe I should since I’m not supposed to get any done for the next couple months.
Orange,
did you need a referral to get an appointment over there? I called and the lady said i’d need to get the first doc to send over his notes/etc - i was a little confused, since i wanted a 2nd opinion. a bit like one mechanic saying ‘you’ll need to have the other mechanic call me before i’ll fix you car’. wtf. i should of inquired more, i guess.
(sorry to the other folks, i would PM this, but can’t)

I didn’t think about it, but my urologist did refer me over there. It’s pretty standard to have a doctor send over his file/notes though. Maybe tell them another patient referred you? I know it seems like a pain, but you’ll be happy you did it. He has saved me a ton of headaches.
order your own blood work from lef.org maybe just order ft and e2 so it’s cheaper and you can see whats going on :)… I’m no pro by any means but you being in the states allows you to do this and if i had this option i’d be on it like a fat kid on a smartie!! ![]()
