Does anyone have any charts showing the overall T- level of the cream as it peaks and valleys down over hours? Also, when are you guys doing your labs at hours after application?
I’ve read several say 5 hours, but depending on peak/valley I hate to test at peak and high number freak out Dr making them change protocol out of a impulse reaction. So far my current dose seems spot on “feeling wise” no side affects also don’t want to mess with anything.
Watch for hairloss and gynecomastia symptoms. The cream rarely works out in the long run unfortunately. Regardless of how your labs look and how you time the blood draws, it is often best to go with Test. Cyp. 50mg every 3.5 days is optimal for most men.
Do you have something to back this up?
Just curious as to what you think “optimal” means, and how you know “most men” are optimal with 50mg every 3.5 days.

This is with scrotal cream showing three different doses.

Scrotal creams are often prescribed for twice daily applications.

Awesome that helps
there isn’t as much drop over 12 hours as I was thinking there might be. Personally I don’t feel any trough applying twice a day.
Honestly, only one week on the cream after coming straight off injections for a few months I feel the best since starting trt. I have zero water retention/weight gain after struggling with that injections, noticeable improved libido, big energy boost and injections never really gave me anyreal significant energy boost. I did have a lot of positives on injections and liked them overall. In some way better in some way, less in other. Right now I truly feel awesome and hope it can stay like this for while.
I just spoke to Dr Nichols who has plenty of patients on cream (and injections too). He seems to have good success with creams.

I’m sure the everyday scrotum cream application is helping me feel more balanced with less negative systems vs the once or twice a week injections I did before.
Taking a injection everyday or 3 times a week would maybe give similar results I’m sure. I just didn’t like needles and for sure couldn’t get excited to do one everyday.
Guys I feel fantastic on the cream a real game changer for me this week. This just seems to work well for “me” like I had hoped TRT too help. I’m started on 1 click morning and 1 click evening. Bye no means a heavy dose I still think it will peak around 800-1200 from how I feel though. I’m a good responder to trt so haven’t needed a huge dose in past to get high normal injections.

That’s awesome!
That is such a ridiculously false statement!

I would have thought since levels peak within an hour that levels would be more up and down rather than more steady like in the graph.
I can say my T-level feels pretty steady throughout the day using the cream. I do feel a small peak 1-4 hours that I feel really, really, really good. Then just feel good all day none of the old pre-TRT symptoms lack of energy, lack of sleep and etc etc.
I don’t crash at 12-14 hour mark neither, I normally apply a second dose at that time (1 click- twice a day).
I go in for first lab work since starting cream next week. I guess will time it about 6 hours post morning application. Just for reference my last lab on injection 150mg weekly at 4 days after injection was 1100+ total so I’m a strong responder to trt treatment I think.
I’m real curious to see what the 1 click am and pm daily do test wise with cream. It’s not a high dose most folks are using another click or two each dose may need to move to 2 clicks AM down the road if needed. Right now just based on “feel” I’m pretty solid which is more important than a number on paper.
One thing that I find interesting is that when you go in to be tested for androgen deficiency, they have you test in the morning because that is when your T levels are supposed to be highest. But after you are on TRT, you typically test at trough level. I’m pretty sure it even specifies that on the Androgel packaging. The last time I tested, I had my blood drawn in the morning before applying the gel so I would be at my lowest level and I came in a 818 ng/dL. I might have been up over 1200 ng/dL the day before.
I’ve always wondered about that too. Add to it the fact that docs typically test creams at “peak” and it’s like who the f is coming up with these rules and why aren’t they all the same? Haha

I think there is still a lot that they don’t know about TRT. For example, I was first tested in 2013 and came back at 405 ng/dL. At the time I didn’t have any particular symptoms, I was just checking to see where I was. Maybe my libido wasn’t as strong as it once was but that’s about it. I tested again in 2017 and it came back at 370 ng/dL. A small difference but by then I had multiple symptoms. But they said I was still too high to qualify. A year later I was at 303 ng/dL and still experiencing symptoms and then the doc decided to treat me. At first he brought me up to 515 ng/dL. Most symptoms were resolved but I still suffered from delayed orgasm. Why? When I was naturally above 500 ng/dL I didn’t have any issues. So he increased my dose and all of the symptoms resolved. Now I’m at 818 ng/dL at trough. That’s significantly higher than average but that’s what seems to be necessary to make everything function correctly. I seriously doubt that they have any explanation for that. The numbers don’t line up.
That’s why I suspect you see studies sometimes where they bring guys up to the 400-500 ng/dL because that is typical for healthy middle-aged men and they don’t see much improvement. There is a missing piece to this puzzle. I agree with everyone who says treat the symptoms because it is clear that we don’t have a complete understanding of how the range really impacts functionality.

Just an update to my first post: I completed my first labs since on MedQuest 200mg versa-base scrotum cream and reviewed results with my doctor.
1 click — twice a day — (morning and night) with lab 6 hours after last morning application (Aimed for 5hrs but had to wait longer for lab work)
Total T 1098 and Free T at 41.
I’m not a lab expert by any means all I really know is I feel really good overall at this dose. Sleeping like a baby 6-7 hours a night (Pre TRT sleep like 2-3 hours a night) good energy levels now, good libido, skin is good, no hair loss, good mind/mood wellness, daily application very balance hormone feeling wise and no negative symptoms at all now.
Overall, seems like this is the future for me best I’ve felt since starting TRT all good and no negatives blood work, pressure and feeling good.

When I first started TRT injections about 2-4 weeks I had some hair shed/thin . It stopped and hair
grew back since and haven’t had any more issue. Honestly, all the talk about cream and higher DHT had me nervous switching to the cream. No issue so far a good thing
I am starting your exact protocol (MedQuest 200mg) tomorrow and just wanted to know how you were doing after a longer duration on the therapy. I’ve been reading how some ‘crash’ around 8 weeks, and that worries me about starting. Any advice appreciated, it sounded like you were doing very well on the MedQuest 200mg cream
Hoping @fiddleback1 chimes in for an update. Im not a cream type of guy since Im grateful for a daily pin. But Ive noticed that a transition from injections to cream has be working out for a few. Who knows what it is, but I think that switching from injection to cream, the body knows what to do with it, and absorption actually works as it should.
