Test & BPC-157 to Promote Healing Post Total Hip Replacement?

I have a post over in the injury/rehab forum but wanted to post this here as well; I think I can link it and will as there is some background over there but long story short here’s the deal:

I’m a 39 year old endurance athlete who actively competes in ultramarathons and likes to hike/climb mountains (no rock climbing here, close to CO so have gotten into climbing the 14ers); on June 12th I’ll be having a total hip replacement.

Pre-Surgery I have a pretty intense plan that will have me going into surgery in the best shape I have been in in a very long time…that was the goal from the outset.

Post-Surgery I have been looking into anything and everything to help me heal faster and get back to the 100-mile distance I prefer to run. There is not a lot of history to go on here as there are no studies or papers on ultramarathoners (for the most part) and THR. I’ve got a really good team together that includes the wife, a coach (this is new, I normally do everything myself in regard to training and have been for 20 years), my PT, my therapist/mentor, a couple running/climbing buddies, and of course the surgeon whom I really like…all this is in hopes to pull of the miracle I know that I need to reach the goals I have set (which include a 250 mile race in 2025).

What advice/experience/recommendations do you guys have in regard to post-op healing?

My surgeon said he’ll talk to me about test and peptides and all of that post op as I wanted his opinion, but honestly I’ll be getting all of my own gear and peptides (unless he offers to whip out that RX pad) and am just looking for as much info, positive and negative, as possible.

Thanks in advance and sorry for the long post folks.
