Tender Calves

I’ve been doing a reduced version of Arnold Level I. Usually I’ll do 4-5x per week with 2 workouts per 2 days, followed by 1-2 days of rest.

Anyway, I worked out my legs(squats, lunges, leg curl, deadlifts to failure, calf raises) 4 days ago. Yesterday I did clean & press, push presses, etc. I don’t know why, but my calves were tender today. Granted I worked them a little with the clean & press, but they should be healed from 4 days ago. I’m going to sleep a bit more today(1 hour nap), then see how I feel around 9 PM.

What’s your take on my situation?

If it has been a while since you trained calves, or since you used the same intensity you did last session - failing that, dont stress over each and every little thing!

I don’t follow.

I’m not stressing, just noting my tenderness. I mentioned it in the event that it indicates an injury.
