Teens Shouldn't Squat Unsupervised

Now I don’t mind having these guys in my gym. You guys got youth on your side, continue working on your form and you’ll be gold in a few years’ time.

You guys are insane. You must not have anything better to do than go to the gym and go home to have posted over and over again just to hate on someone who knows more than you.

For all the haters, your clearly jealous of someone who is stronger and more athletic than you without having to be 100% serious everytime he hits the gym and for that you should be ashamed.

Instead of being jealous work harder so you can get stronger too and why dont you put up some videos so we can all criticize your ugly form and your terrible gym habits.

And then we have KING hater the man who’s wife is squatting 225. That must be your sole motivation to workout, must not let my wife kick my ass in the gym or I’m not a real man anymore and the only way to prove I’m a real man is to put down other people who workout harder than I do.

Sir, your pathetic don’t hate cause you don’t have your own friends to workout with who are willing to act nuts to motivate you.

This other douche bag says he lives 5 minutes from that gym and would get him kicked out. Why? Because he makes you look like shit when you’re working out with your girl and she realizes she doesn’t know why the fuck she went out with you in the first place?

Don’t have cause your just another punk who goes to that gym and doesn’t have a club as to what he’s doing spending 2 hours doing curls and then another 3 hours playing basketball right after that when you’re not even any good.

I wonder if any of you guys actually went to a school that offered more than just a 2 year degree and even managed to get that degree.

i think this thread became quite interesting.

lovers and haters all together.

the last video showed a better approach to training.

for what it’s worth you could search for:

irongame78 frontsquats

at yotube to check out my own front squatting.

usually i do the talk and walk the walk.

but it is true that many haters never have any videos to show.

This is Martin from the video who was performing the shitty box squat. Given the fact that we were being loud in that video, but there were about 5 people in the entire gym including us since there was about a good 4 inches of snow that day in Maryland, and I actually had to shovel my driveway an hour in advance just so i can meet up with frank in time at the gym. And seriously, shoveling wasn’t very fun and took a lot out of me so maybe i could have done better that day if it wasn’t for the snow.

I do realize that my form wasn’t good, and thank you guys for the critique, but i don’t perform like that on a regular basis. I think frank has taught me a lot ever since i started lifting with him since August of 2006, and my box squat went from 175 to 265 as well as a front squat from 135 to 215, and split squat from 45 to 80.

Frank is a great guy to work out with because he knows what he’s talking about and he can back it up. I don’t care if you guys bash about matt and i because we beginners, but i don’t think anyone should really talk smack about frank who is just trying to help us out, and because he’s probably one of the strongest guy i’ve ever met at 160.

He also shares his Surge with matt and i which i was told to be quite expensive, but he doesn’t care, he just wants us to get stronger, faster, and jump higher.

I played basketball throughout high school, and of course we were told that we all have to lift, so i did what everyone else in the gym does, curls, back and bis, chest and tris. But it wasn’t until i started lifting with frank that i reached my bench goal of maxing out 225 on the bench at 148.

And after i started lifting with him i can definitely feel the difference in speed on a fast break, or when i elevate on a jump shot. So I just want everyone who wrote in this forum to realize that i do appreciate the critique on the form, but leave frank alone.

You’re really do have a lot of pent up frustration.

Funny how this is Lalak’s 1st post ever…

we watch out for each other and take contrast showers together, as well foam roll totally nude after training. because of that we have stayed injury free, and dont plan on hurting ourselves anytime soon.

lastly we arent really teens anymore we are like 20 some yrs old now[/quote]

Awesome.

As far as the poundage they were lifting, I recall Louie Simmons stating that one could max a regular squat at about 200 lbs more than they could do multiple sets of doubles. Cut that in half for these goofballs, and you’ve still got a decent poundage. Those kids are small, and they’re young.

YEah maybe if you’re going from raw doubles to fully geared contest singles. Not a hope in hell otherwise. I think you’re mis-quoting the article.

That may well be, as I read it some time ago. The point remains, however, that anyone can free squat more than they box squat.

Ummmm, that’s an interesting statement given the fact that somewhere I read your little hero free squats around 100#'s less than he box squats.

The only thing you have proven with that statement is it’s going to make a loud sound when your head pops out of your ass.

Pudz free squats less than he box squats?

If I were referring to Pudz I can assure you the word “little” would not have come up.

Points for the comeback, though.

To whom were you referring?

you guys need to start paying attention to the articles you read…

what Louie said depends on the squat your doing…

you will box squat more than you can deep olympic squat…

just like you cant do the same weight you do on a close stance low box as you can on a parallel box…

shit was hilarious!

I think i posted this before but this is an example where psych ups work!
This is pizzlemank breaking his front squat PR by 3 reps in just 1 workout.

It’s hilarious to see what the Westside and WPO guys really think of nonsense like this among other things. It was good for a laugh on saturday night.

What’s your vertical leap?

How many Bulgarian split squats can you do with 120# dumbells?

Who really cares. the last time I checked was 32" in 1982. I have what’s called a job now. I still lift, of course, but have no interest in bulgarian split squats with dumbells or verticals. unless it’s my kids.

I’ve trained at westside and have treated many of their lifters, including Louie and Dave. Throw in a few WSM guys for good measure.

What I know is that these fellows, meaning the computer guys, look at videos like those posted and practically piss thmrselves. Some were laughing at those that mentioned Matt K’s 175 x 33 in the dumbell row was sloppy form wise.

From a doc standpoint, those squats were horrible and dangerous. The jumpy pysche the guys up clown has no idea about how to squat or he would not let his friends do such nonsense. Hell, my 12 year old 85 pound boy has great squat form. His last workout was a nice set of 90 x 5 medium stnace breaking parallel.

I’ve lifted for 30 years because I’ve done it right. And I’ve still been hurt more often than the age of most on here. Do it right or you won’t be doing it at all.

Or give me a good laugh and do it wrong. But only if you have good insurance.
