Fucking kids is a choice. Those who choose to carry out the act should be dealt with the harshest of punishment afforded by the law regardless of the reason for 1. (Perusing related paraphernalia would also fall under this since the production of these are a direct result of exploitation of kids.)

It makes zero sense that just because something happens to you, apparently it will turn you into that. Plenty of things have happened to me in life, like everybody else and doesn’t mean i start doing it or wanting to do it.
Not everyone is programmed the same way. I’ve been thru shit that would break most people but I endrd up fine. Idk why, but some people aren’t that lucky.

I’m also young however I’ve seen and been through quite a bit throughout my life (this isn’t a brag nor a claim to superiority) however I believe having said certain events in my life may have “toughened me up” a little bit and made me see the world for for the place it really at a younger age than nessecary is if that makes sense.
This in turn has made me a very, very, very pessimistic and cynical individual though.

If only everyone would do this…all the time I’ve wasted on trying to explain my bipolar…even then, it’s very hard for people without (or sometimes with) mental health issues to understand.
They should teach more about mental health in schools.

It is. But post traumatic stress doesn’t make you want to be a pedophile
PTSD isnt* just caused by military conflict, it just has to do with how past trauma can influence how you act, think/perceive things. I know someone who was in a car accident who refused to get in a moving vehicle for years. Im not an expert on the subject by any means, but any and all events in your life will influence your person in one way or another whether is good or bad, and whether you realize it or not. People who are abused as children can either grow up to become abusers themselves or not, its not a choice, what they end up becoming is influenced by there environment, whether or not they received any help, etc etc.
Edit: the biggest influencer is brain chemistry, like I said before, not everyone is programmed the same.

I was just using this example to go further into what PTSD could be. But yeah, ever hear of a demolition derby? Its thrilling for some people.
Yes it does make you a terrible person, but again its not a choice. I dont know enough about the subject scientifically to go into a full explanation.
