@ all the people arguing about how the teacher responded inappropriately - Tell me: How much situational and combat response training do teachers recieve? FYI she is a teacher not a police officer or military personnel.

@whiteflash - I agree with you. She shouldn’t hit a student. For example, if she taught 2nd grade and the kid ran up on her. Perhaps she could simply restrain the kid. In this situation, what is the right response - call for help??? That’s stupid and shit that gets you hurt. You protect yourself and for someone who claims to have been in a number of fights, you should know this already.
@ X - my mom and wife are teachers. They deal with stupid kids all day (knock on wood) nothing this crazy but as many teachers on here have posted, these kids have a sense of entitlement and their parents just don’t give a shit. Poor funding with no parental support = f’d up kid and a teacher that has to deal with it.
Here’s the next step in classroom management/safety - Bullet proof glass seperating the teacher and the students. Armed security officer in each classroom. @ everyone saying the teacher was wrong - make sure you step up to foot this tax increase because I don’t want anything to do with it.

You’re right, Lou. But does it really matter? On a BBing site, fat comes and goes. I’m more concerned (as I assume most of us are) with muscle size. Calling X fat when you’re a skinny dude with relatively the same BF makes no sense. WhiteFlash could be 4% BF but it wouldn’t matter. His waist is still larger looking compared to his chest, lats, shoulders and arms, while X with all his “fat” still has a smaller looking waistline compared to his other parts.

Same here. My dad never tolerated it either. In fact, my brother was so much trouble in elementary school (despite home punishment), my dad actually called the principal and authorized that my brother get paddled at school if he acted up.

Agreed. Any argument that begins with the idea of a “decision” is flawed. She got scared and she threw a punch. If you scare someone into throwing a punch you probably deserve to get hit. If you starve a lion and then try to play catch you probably deserve to get eaten.

Most kids have “time out”, my brother and I had “time up.” Because our time was up when we acted a fool.
People advocate against violence, I disagree. This kid in the video learned somewhere that mad dogging someone can be an effective means to control, and the best way to deflate that is knock his block off. No one but the idiot has any idea of his “intent”. I am no lawyer, but I am pretty sure that what the student did falls under the legal definition of assault and as such, she has a reasonable right to defend and protect herself. Punks need to stop selling wolf tickets if they aren’t going to follow through. Where i grew up, he would have been lucky if all he got was punched in the face for coming up on someone the way he did.
My mother was teacher for over 30 years and ended up retiring because of the belligerence of students like that. I completely understand why the teacher reacted the way she did.
