I’m reading your log cuz I saw you talking about your shiny hair in thread killers - and now I’m hooked! [/quote]

Lol, I was really excited about it.

Uh, for those of you who don’t have time to waste in thread killers, I’m trying the no shampoo thing. I didn’t wash my hair last week, then tried the baking soda/ ACV wash. It worked wonderfully and my hair was super shiny the next day. I’m going to stick with the experiment for a while.

Thanks, stick around, hopefully you’ll pick up a bit. I’m sure you could easily kick some ass. I also try to get into the weight room, and you have tons of knowledge to share about that.

Foods

I talked about it in Thread Killers so if you read my ramblings there, sorry for the redundancy.

Staying away from dairy has been surprisingly easy. I miss cheese on my beans, but avocado fixes that. It’s only been a week, so I haven’t really noticed anything major.

Over the last week I’ve just been eating when I’m hungry, until I’m full. A really remarkable approach to food isn’t it? I’ve been pretty good with keeping it all clean food. The only not so wise choices have been a donut or two and a few slices of bread. Nothing that I’ve been that worried about. It turns out that maintenance for me is around 2300. I’m sitting at about 170lbs and train daily, so it’s not that shocking of a number.

In order to start leaning out, I think I’m going to hover around 2000 calories. I’ve been reading a lot of logs and it seems like the easiest thing to do is eat the same thing everyday for a week. I especially liked Otep’s ( Forums - T Nation - The World's Trusted Community for Elite Fitness ) idea of having a base diet and then changing little bits everyday. So, I’m going to class then going to plan out what I’m eating for a few days.

I log my foods and generally eat the same stuff…I dont keep track of cals though…but ya, eat when hungry stop when full works for me!

I D/Led the podcast you recommended. It was pretty good, but some of the comments on the bottom of the page were priceless; people complaining about the cyclist Racing Across AMerica weren’t REAL tough because they didn’t do a longer, steeper race. (it reminded me of some T-Nationers)

I may try “Into Thin Air” (about a disastrous expedition up Everest) next.

Okay, today (well after I go to sleep and wake up) is going to be day one of do better. I’ve been feeling things out and think I’ve done enough information gathering. Nothing’s changed lately, and honestly the scale weight is all that’s important, but for shits and giggles:

4/15
Weight 170
Neck 13.5
Arm 12.5
Shoulders: 44.5
Boobs:41
Smallest part of waist: 33
Largest part of waist: 39
Hips: 42
Thigh: 23.5
Calf: 14.5

I’ll probably take pictures this weekend, I probably won’t post them. I’ve got a lot of extra now, but I’m also carrying a lot of muscle. I’m going to look great lean.

Just out of snoopy interest, I wouldn’t mind seeing the pics, but it’s your business in the end.

Good luck and keep kicking people’s asses!

How tall are you? yes, take pics! It’ll be cool to SEE them change…

I’m only 5’5. I’ll see how the pictures look.

I’ll probably stick a shot of my back here just to sate you guys.

Thanks!

Yay for pics!

Yeah, I log my foods too - and generally eat the same things every day. Nuts and fruits and veggies are a staple. The protein gets switched up most often.

Btw, do you know that 4tbs of unsweetened cocoa powder has 6 g of protein?

Hi! Your BJJ-ing sounds awesome! Confusing, but awesome. Girls that kick ass ARE kick ass, just as Masch said! I’ve always thought knowing a martial art would be cool and fun, but always psych myself out of taking one.

Would definitely love to see some pix, but that is for you to decide and be comfortable with.

Falling behind on my log is so easy. Anyway, here’s mah back. I’ll update workout tonite.

See I have muscle and a fairly good shape, it’s just covered by a layer of extra.

You got great curves. You can work on the layer of “extra!” Most of us have some “extra” somewhere.

Snapper’s “extra” is “extra” intensity. You have less extra than I have, and since you have darker skin and I’m Casper the Friendly Ghost white, I absorb all available light to look even bigger.

I fall behind on my log too. Let’s be friends.

Hey Pch if you check out my back pictures you’ll see I’m all hips. We’re all built differently.

You’ve got a gorgeous shape, great curves as Snapper said! Your upper back looks really strong and wide too, no wonder you’re so strong in the rowing movements.

You should have the tiger hold your hand for the first one and after the first one it’s easy. There is a lot of bjj in Chicago, if you want me to find a girl friendly place let me know!

I have to plan protien and switch up the veggies, mostly because the protien is the hardest thing for me to get into my diet. I should probably look ip the whole repetition develops allergies stuff. If I eat 8-10 eggs a day everyday am I going to develop an allergy to them? That would blow.

Have you tried eating unsweetened cocoa powder? Dallas tried to make a chocolate stout, it called for cocoa extract, they used cocoa powder. Hello bitter!

I’m going to have to agree with PMPM your extra is in intensity. I read all the PW logs, I just don’t have much knowledge to contribute.

We can only be friends if you’re willing to braid my hair, and file down my callouses.

Thanks for the compliments.
