Taking a 50 Day Break From the Gym

wait?! What the Fx&k! You got on here, a bodybuilding forum, whined about taking a break for 50 days, then get your ass handed to you in responses about how you can do it if you want it, then you proceed to say that you have a condition that you freak out if you don’t get to work out?

I don’t get it. I really don’t. If you freak out when you can’t workout, then your thought process should have been, I am coming to amercia to visit univ’s, and I am going to find a way to workout. Then asked if there are gym’s where you will be going, or something like that. You can’t play it both ways.

for your information…
I have a condition called obssessive exercise syndrome where if i don’t get my workout done… I feel like shit.

I have been faithful for the past year. 4 x a week.
Monday, wednesday, friday and sunday. Never missed a single workout. Just once or twice for extreme illness.

The reason i asked the question was maybe for some input of others and this could maybe help me overcome the fear of not being able to workout during this “break”

now that i know i can get daily passes and work out at unis’ gyms, i feel like the objective of me asking has been served. I have learnt something, and i am thankful for that.
ha ha ha… oh god you’re a good troll…

Damn that is like 3 times in 10 days I’ve been had. God Damn it.

Have your fun…

Don’t expect you to understand.

Thanks prof X and all the others who managed to give a decent point of view.
You’re right. If I want to, I have to do it.

Oh by the way…
Now a propper question worth asking I think.

I started to carb cycle and I was wondering:
With my carb cycling, do i also cycle the calories? As in, on my low/no carb days, do i substitute that with fat and protein calories or just eat less calories overall?

I’ve read conflicting opinions on this. Some people tell me to aim for 1400 kcal-1500 kcal on my no carb days and 2600-2900 on my high carb day.

Don’t ask me why I’m doin this.

WOLRD WIDE web.

Rather than ask “how bad will my training life fall apart if I travel” how bout doing some research ONLINE. If it were me and I knew ahead of time I was going abroad I’d CHECK and see if there are gyms near the places I would be visiting. I’d EMAIL some, Universities too, I think they have email now and explain that I will be in the area and what options are available to someone in my position at your facility? I’d take some notes. By the time I arrived I would have at least a tentative plan laid out for each city I would be visiting complete with maps to and from where I would be staying and all free of charge… even from across the ocean.

Come on pal, you can make it to this forum, but somebody has to tell you all this. I’m not even picking on you, I’m being serious.

In perusing the responses it seems as if prof x was kind of being a bit sarcastic towards you and you thank him…INTERNET INTIMIDATION!

guys i’m going to Japan for two months, sadly I don’t speak the language, I’ve drawn pictures of food, toilet, and vagina boobs, I hope I will survive.

It’s that easy bro, draw a dumbbell, better yet back a weight set to bring.

You obviously missed this gem:

The short and skinny of it is as follows: people don’t have to look anything up for themselves anymore. That is what others are on this forum for, to look shit up for people.

i mean, WHAT? are gyms in european universities just not that common?
Sadly, they’re not. Unless it’s either big or concentrated on pshysiology, lot of them don’t have their own gym. I shit you not.
That’s why ghetto workout FTW

But you can find a gym in just about every major European city. There may not be a lot of people lifting weights seriously, but there’s lotsa gyms in every country and big city I can think of in Europe.
