Just ordered a steel log for bootcamps. It should be here before we host the first post surgery boot camp either June 18,19 or June 25,26.
Also ordered a 15lb Olympic light bar for teaching Olympic lifts.
This weekend I’ll be bringing the keg out for the first time. Should be fun!
Ya gotta make some sandbags. Nothing is more fun than getting knocked to the ground by a sandbag.
You bought a log???In Canada we use logs for logs. What a brilliant idea. When you’re done liftin’ them and carrying them, and winter starts to set in…we just chop 'em up and put them in the wood stove to stay warm. That’s how the “woodchop” exercise was invented. Only we use an axe instead of cables.
I’ll try to post a picture of my log carrying handle as soon as I learn how to operate a digital camera. Canada isn’t really big on technology.
We also use stones for stones…can you picture it???
For tire flippin’ we have to leave the tires on the tractor in case of surprise snow storm cause we also use the tractor to plow the driveway. It makes it a little more difficult cause the paint on the tractor gets scratched.

In Arizona there aren’t many logs just laying around, LOL. As for stones, in the desert we use landscaping stones. Its a novel idea 
Tires, well, we steal them off old trucks and roll them into our backyards. We do have sandbags, I posted some photos on my other thread of those. We’ll be using them again this weekend at bootcamp. Keg, kettlebells, sandbags and shot puts this weekend

OK, I live in Arizona and all I can think is that a steel log is going to really hot in the summer. Only a few minutes in the sun and that thing will start frying eggs. Or whatever else you put against it.

True, that’s why bootcamps are all held early in the morning. We also train in my garage gym so that cuts down on the equipment getting too hot. You’re right though, some of the stuff will have to be “retired” if it gets too hot until the weather calms down.
What a great idea!!!Do a couple of log lifts till it gets too hot , then crack a few eggs, throw on some Canadian back bacon and a side order of beans and call it a day. Can ya get those logs teflon coated so the egs don’t stick???
Boot camp and breakfast. You could charge big bucks for this if you marketed it right.

back to the topic at hand…I’m not sure I understand the point of the steel log, given the way the handles are inside the thing. I guess it’s cause I haven’t seen one in real life.
Cause I use logs…for logs.
They are loadable to add more weight. No, they are not exactly like a “real” logs.

Perhaps the high road would have been telling me why you banned me and treating me with respect. There is also no guideline limiting me to posting in my thread alone.
