@atlas13 did you guys have a vacuum waste system for sewage? Did it routinely fail?
There, that’ll show the “you guys are weird” crowd ![]()
I will never forget being in Berthing 7 on my DDG. I had the bottom rack. VCHT backed up for the ship to our head, and “explosions” weren’t uncommon.
One day, after a long watch, I’m catching some sleep, when I hear guys yelling about flooding. I open my rack curtain to see a solid 3 inches of brown water just coating the floors. As I’m trying to gather what’s going on, I see a turd float through the water at damn near eye level to my horizontal self, no more than 18inches from my face.
It was at that moment I knew a Naval career wasn’t for me.
I was going to suggest the Navy to my son. I’m reconsidering now…
Very legitimately, if he has interest, get him talking to a few of us. The Navy is a HUGE organization, and different jobs have such vastly different lives, really worthwhile to figure out the different paths before going in.
He’s a sophomore so he has some time. But I will for sure keep you in mind. Most of my family that has served were army. Actually, now that I think of it, I think the Navy is the only branch in which I don’t know someone. Lol.
I come from a long line of marines, my pops went from them to the Air Force for a spell later, and my wife’s an Army officer lol. I had to fill in the missing link
I’d talk to him. I’d recommend it but like Atlas said, the real value is finding the right path. Many routes are available depending on aptitude and interest.
I’m just going to leave this here for you to count the plates and reps.
Going to try and bring something freaky to the table come the end of this challenge
@BethB I was Army, but if I had it to do over I would go Navy. There’s more career paths and they’ve shown a higher proclivity for longevity - they seem to care a bit more if their folks can actually make it 20 years (floating ship waste aside).
A longer and fuller career, assuming you avoid the staph infections, dysentery and c-diff. ![]()
Hell ya brah!
I’m in this, and yeah definitely looking to be freak-e-er!
here’s 410 and I’m on a cut and not gonna bulk
Love it mate! Great lift
I was a navy recruiter if you have any questions!
A bit fat in my before pic this year ![]()
Classic me doing a bigger physical transformation at the end of the 25’ challenge to the start of this one
Since I sorta agreed and didn’t to @BethB early in this thread to semi enter. Since im not doing physique ill enter this lift and see where im at when its over with.
Those were some smooth, controlled reps there, big guy! ![]()
Thanks… not a movement i can afford to get sloppy with.
@TrainForPain photos are a requirement of participation, correct?
I think so. How else would we compare?
I mean, I’d count @bulldog9899’s post vs a photo for his goals, but I think we have to do something like that.
After gaining 9lbs in the last week, I’m in.
