Over the past 23 years T Nation has provided a platform for the best coaches, trainers and experts in the fitness industry to share their knowledge. As a trainer myself since 1990, I have personally tried the exercise recommendations in EVERY article that’s been published on T Nation at least once, and most of them with my clients. In addition, T Nation’s info on cutting edge nutrition and supplementation has always been fantastic. I’ve never spent time “inventing” new exercises or training routines or researching the latest nutritional research because the authors at T Nation do that heavy lifting for me. So a big “Thank You” from me to all the contributors to T Nation over the years!
Just like the rest of T Nation’s readers, I’ve got my “favorite” articles – my go-to workout routines and exercises. Many of these articles are “hidden away” in the T Nation archives. I’ll be re-posting links to these articles periodically. While these articles are my favorites, I encourage each of you to re-post links to YOUR favorite T Nation articles from the past. I thought I’d start with Mobility and Warm Up. I lean towards brief, but effective, doing just enough to get me and my clients ready to work. Here are some of my favorite T nation articles on Mobility and Warm Up:
The Best Warm-Up You Can Do In 10 Minutes by Nick Tumminello
On lifting days this is my go-to warm up. Nick does such a great job with exercise sequencing and pointing out the “details” of every movement.
The Top 3 Mobility Exercises for Lifters by Dr. John Rusin
Great when time is limited.
Tip: The Ultimate Morning Routine for Lifters by Tom Morrison
On non-lifting days this is one of the many mobility routines I implement.
