Eh, then you need to start playing better or rethink your spec tbh. I had zero trouble getting through Act 1 as a lvl 51 barb. Sure the class has it’s problems but you should still be able to progress through Hell reasonably quick.
The only person in Hardcore A3 Inferno right now is a Barb, the class is not imbalanced. For softcore farming where death is not permanent and allows for various forms of kiting to checkpoints/waypoints and res-zerging, sure the ranged classes are better, but on the whole Barbs/Monks(especially when they get their gear) are just fine, if not actually the best classes. DH’s might be the class with legitimate claim to being their equal because they can do so many things in softcore that other classes can’t, it probably makes up for them being non-existent in HC.

I think the real complaint from Monks and Barbarians is that they HAVE to get top tier gear to be useful in act 3/4 Inferno whereas ranged classes can buy cheap glass cannon gear and kill stuff (albeit with a lot of deaths). Ranged classes basically get to skip farming for gear/gold in acts 1/2 and can jump right into act 3/4 with minimal downtime.
Ranged classes can get close to the kind of mitigation Barbarians and Monks can get without actually having to get in melee range. Most choose not to because that gear is expensive. I saw a stream of a Wizard last night who had 110k DPS and enough health to take a few hits (Force Armor helps) and it was insane how quickly he was able to roll through content.
Finally, Kripp is so far in hardcore inferno just because he farms treasure goblins in 4-man parties literally 16 hours a day for the last week. It has nothing to do with class balance. He has better gear than anyone else since he has done so much farming.

Other people have equivalent gear to him(Krippi for one) and have farmed just as much(and used d2jsp just as much), they just aren’t Barbs. Kungen was probably geared enough to get to A3 as well but he had a major derp moment and forget to pause his game while he talked to his stream audience in chat. There are actually a lot of WDs stuck in A2 right now because Belial is just a huge cockslap in the face for them, and Kripp rolled through it without stopping to farm A2 at all really.

Yeah, DAO had pretty sub standard graphics when it first came out, i dont think id be able to put up with it now.
Witcher 2 on the other hand, is probably in the top 5 best looking games to date, if you have a rig that can run it on the highest settings. Even at around medium settings it looks awesome though.

I can understand your feeling about the graphics. I pay 60$ a month for a 1.5mb DSL connection that has wicked latency problems. If I Idle in an online game for more than 1 minute I usually get disconnected from the server.
Moving to a cable connection for 45 thats 3MB ( fucking small towns ) and hoping for less latency problems.
Patch 1.0.2b is live, nothing huge except fixing barbs from blowing them selves up.
I’m anxious for 1.0.3 should fix a lot of issues, especially the inferno group fuckfest. Now mobs will just have more hps but wont be super strong. Which is important in case you’re in a group and someone starts lagging or rubberbanding and your party wipes.
Im not happy with the NV change, though I see the purpose for it, I just hope that once they tone the overall difficulty of acts 2-4 down the NV change makes it worthwhile to pursue packs instead of just getting a 5 stack then hitting a boss.
Also on a side note, i’ve noticed more legendary drops, but that could just be from the 16 hour afk gold farming I’m doing.
