T-Nation: How Do You Train?

Congratulations Professor X on killing this thread with your high standards.

Well done, you must be so, SO proud of having sidetracked this thread to shit… and you have the audacity to claim that others are killing this forum.

Others (CC, for ex.) were actually exchanging ideas about training and injuries etc, as should be expected on a BODYBUILDING forum.

The reason me and others post this type of response is because of all the biggest guys here, you are also the biggest ass. CC, MODOK, Stu, 300andabove, Brook, Dave, FattyFat, are all at similar levels but don’t see the need to insult and denigrate everyone and anyone below them. You are actually turning people off this lifestyle/activity and simply playing into the “meatheads” stereotype. nice one

forum (plural forums or fora)

  1. A place for discussion.
  2. A gathering for the purpose of discussion.
[3. A form of discussion involving a panel of presenters and often participation by members of the audience.]
  3. An Internet message board where users can post messages regarding one or more topics of discussion.

This would be a much better thread if people posted a routine then their gains on their routine with their curent stats over the course of a few months or so.

Not even that. It would be a better thread if the people posting routines actually simply looked built. How the hell is that too much to ask on a bodybuilding forum? Why would anyone listen to someone who hasn’t built much muscle as far as what routine they use?

This site is a joke in that regard. Go to the T-Cell to find threads done about how big people train. Look up Bauer’s thread or Dathibluline and leave everyone with 14" arms to keep posting about what “works”.

Generalization. I’m no skinny runt and I posted what I do.

And for that matter, a lot of the philosophies I go by are what I’ve read from you big guys while I lurked here for two years.

No one said you were a skinny runt. However, this is a BODYBUILDING FORUM. one would assume the goal is to get really big (bigger than the average weekend warrior on this site who trains once or twice a week, if that)…therefore, asking how people train should NOT include people with little to no size on them who never post pictures of themselves.

No one singled you out. You have made decent progress already. As far as you are concerned, keep up the good work.

We already have one thread where people are posting very unimpressive stats talking about what they PLAN to do. We never get that thread where they all come back and blow us away with their progress.

I just don’t get why people who aren’t built love to speak up so much about how they train.

I believe that is officially the 10,000th time you’ve written the word “bodybuilding” in all caps. Congrats.

This is a simple thread asking folks how they train. You don’t have to storm in here like a cocksucker and do your schtick. Seriously, just stfu and don’t post in the thread if you don’t like it. It isn’t hard, and not every thread is a referendum on the “state of things” here at T-Nation or a call for you to grind your tired ax.

And no matter how much you scream and cry, not everyone who doesn’t have pics posted on the internet is a pussy who never trains, and not everyone who is going to belong to this site is going to be huge by your standards. It’s a long process and there are new people getting into lifting every day. People are at different stages, and you should try harder to understand that and not post the same knee-jerk shit every time something you perceive to be worthless is posted.

I would add that, perhaps, some of your frustration w/ seeing the same things over and over again and having to repeat yourself has to do w/ the fact that you’ve been here 7 years, have 30,000 posts, and have a custom-made avatar for yourself. I suspect that having a hobby outside of being hall monitor for an internet forum and e-badass might make you realize that the stakes on a BODYBUILDING FORUM just aren’t really as high as you perceive them to be.

Oh, and there are weight classes in BODYBUILDING, and no one here is bound by your limited conception of the sport.

I have never seen someone so obsessed with everything someone types. Do you plan to follow me around from here on out to scold how and what I write here?

If you didn’t notice, the fact that you seem to care SO much about what I write here isn’t apathy…so why do my words bring so much emotion for you? I mean, entire paragraphs because I think developed people should be the ones asked about how they train?

Really?

Are you jealous or just crazy?

You aren’t even attacking points made anymore, you simply make it personal. That is very fucking strange.

There seem to be like 5 of you running around who do nothing but spend most of your time critiquing what I post and judging it to be unworthy…yet no one can count on you for advice and no one is thanking you for helping them. Why is that?

Look, I get it, you log on, you are ashamed to show what you look like, so you rip apart anyone who makes progress the determinant in what works and what doesn’t.

I am very sorry for you. I do not mean to antagonize whatever mental disorder causes you to focus on me so intently. I can only hope you do finally seek help for your affliction and I hope putting you on my ignore list will help you in the long run.

PS.
I know some numbers to call just in case you feel suicidal or like you want to kill small animals in a microwave. Just let me know…even though I won’t be able to read it.

lol. i’m neither jealous nor crazy. i just get tired of clicking on a thread, reading through it a bit, then seeing you post and everything go down hill from there. the “point” was that you are an asshole and trying to derail another thread w/ your negative bullshit. i’m not following anyone around–it’s not like you are hiding and posting once a day, it’s impossible NOT to be subjected to your redundant crap.

and I am sorry for you-- as i am not the one w/ 30,000 posts and “special” avatar and a complex that compels me to take dumps on people from a computer screen.

it’s a fact- this is how you behave and at any given time, threads that are multiple pages (and not 6 months old) are shit fests where you and your cronies have a circle jerk.

and you got owned, your post wasn’t funny…the facts have a way of shining through. i mean some thought went into making 30k posts on a website, putting on caps lock (or did you just hold down the shift key) to capitalize BODYBUILDING all the time and finding a cartoon black guy in a wife beater so you could have “Professor X” typed in. Almost as good as the other couple custom avies you’ve sported through the years.

Sidenote: isn’t the cartoon/comic book character “professor x” bound to a wheelchair? hmmmm, the fact that we’ve never seen a legs pic from you is making more sense now.

now why don’t you go back to penning another bit of pseudo-testerone muscle-erotica poetry (you know, those “hardcore” little vignettes you post from time to time) so a bunch of people can write things like “that’s so inspiring!” “awesome”, etc. that shit is always good for some awkward laughs.

in the meantime i will continue to try wrap my mind around how in the world YOU could accuse anyone on here of getting personal.

LOL. I’ve posted shirtless pics, pics of my legs and more pics in general on this public forum than any of these critics yet apparently they can spend every waking hour worrying about what I post…and STILL miss this.

i stand corrected on the leg pic point-- really a secondary one and the rest of what i said about you ruining threads and being needlessly negative, whiny and annoying (while missing the irony of claiming to be a t-man and hardcore whilst having 30K posts, personalized avatar and serious issues relative to your e-persona).

but really- nice wheels. serious.

and countingbeans is pathetic- i’m sure quickly went to his “jerk off” favorites and pulled that thread out immediately.

Yup, shitty e-stalkers to say the least…

Do you get PM’s bitching at you too? Because if I do, you must.

Funny, very rarely do they pm me. They seem to get off on trying to make a name for themselves by constantly calling me out. Most of the pms I get are from people asking for advice.

No. of days: 7 days
Reps: 500+
Sets: 1
Rest intervals: As long as my refractory period takes.
Your goals: To fight prostate cancer.

E-Stallkers? Your just E-Confused.

X’ is the one coming in this thread requesting pics, and talking about everything but people’s routines. Unless you just couldn’t see the original post with his nuts in your eye.

No. of days? about 5-7 days on average
Reps? Ramp to top set of about 4-8 reps. Last rep of last set will go to failure.
Sets? About 3 sets, ramping to a top set.
Rest intervals? 1-3 minutes depending on exercise. 3 min for squats around 90 seconds for accessory exercise.
Coital preferences? Reverse cowgirl on leg day, classic doggy on off days.

And
Your goals?

Short term: A not too sloppy 250 lbs by Jan 1. Then I’d like to cut down to 230 or 220 by summer to see what I look like. I’d like to go back for my physical when I’m 250 and see the nurse who looked at my arms and asked “You look in shape, do you do pushups” back when I was 190 in October 08.

Long Term: 220-230 with Abs. don’t care about BF%. I store all my fat in my belly so if I got abs showing, I’ll be ripped. At least l8" arms lean. 405 Bench , 405 Front Squat. Fuck deadlifts.

I wasn’t talking about or to you, or about this thread in particular.

I was referring to the people obsessed with X and feel the need to constantly ask about his pictures.

And as far as his nuts go, I couldn’t get anywhere near them with you and Trex riding those fuckers… They aren’t big enough for you two little fuckers and me.

[quote]trextacy wrote:

Yeah, the fact I can recall a bunch of threads about people who make progress sure is pathetic. CC’s, Meat’s, Alpha’s, X’s, That Detatozth(sp) kid is one serious beast, 17 year old pulling serious numbers in the Photo’s section…

Man I’m such a loser from listening and following people who accomplish shit… Woah is me.

[quote]countingbeans wrote:

So you would ride them if you could. I knew it!!

As for my routine… I’m doing a prescribed workout from Carnage on page 20 in his Ceph how do you train thread

I am planning on splitting my year into three phases:
Now till Jan 1: Strength/Power-Currently using Bill Starr 5x5 (With cleans and not rows, honestly wtf!)+ SS cardio
Jan 1-May 1: Bulk up (Using four day a week BBB program first half, six day second half)+ HIIT
May 1-Sept: Leaning out phase- Arnold’s program from the encyclopedia+ complexes and HIIT

Results: two runs of the BBB and Arnold program along with alternating a 40:40:20 p:c:f diet with a low-carb diet got me from this to my avatar in around 10-12 months:
I am interested in feedback on different approaches, leanness is always tough for me.

Now THAT is some impressive progress. What is the body weight difference?

80lb difference between the two. I am interested in Entering a natty show next fall, not sure if I can pull it off. Anyone who has competed or gained a significant amount of muscle, what would you do differently?

Awesome progress man. Very impressive.
