T-Jack Reviews Are Coming!

samsmarts - It’s really not that kind of video. It’s more about tricks and techniques to do better instantly on Combine testing: 40 yard dash, vertical jump, shuttle run, cone drill, bench, and broad jump. Still interesting info for any athlete or coach.

I would love to review Defranco’s video since I’m a college football player and will be attending combines in a few years.

I would be delighted to review Berardi’s DVDs, if Patricia ever lets go of them. Ditto for Lowery’s CDs.

I would love to review one of the folloing:

grippers
bodyfat calipers
The Books of Muscle by Ian King and Lou Schuler
Any of the Charles Staley goodies.

I’m not US resident but can speak english well enough to make a good review.

Avoids - that’s the thing, I’ve been doing that so often that it’s causing my carple tunnel to get worse grin

Just a thought: I’d hope when you offer to review a product that the product is applicable to you. In other words, if you’re in an apartment and have no place to hang the training rings, don’t sign up for them. This will only delay the review. If you’re in a full body cast, don’t ask for an X-vest. If you’re a 105 pound female, don’t ask to review the 300 pound gripper. If you can’t install software, don’t ask for Staley’s programs and e-books. You get the idea.

Ideally, a reviewer would “fit” the product well, like the person above asking to review the Combine tapes who’s actually going to be doing the Combines. Very applicable, and this will garner us a quality review.

Just some stuff to keep in mind!

I would love to be a part! Writing samples at my blog, matt-davis.com

Clubells, X-vests, Staley books… o_O

I should be posting here more often instead of studying the opinions of dead white people for a piece of paper that states, “This man is smart,” so I don’t have to say, “I am smart!”

Can’t wait for this forum to happen!

The DeFranco video’s sound great. Especially since I work at a place with an indoor turf field, weight room, basketball courts and I’m preparing a few athletes to transfer from the JC to Division I schools. They have been a long term project and were not even starters when I began my journey with them and now, through their hard work they are reaching the next level. It’d be nice to have a few tricks to really blow their coaches heads off come testing time.

Also the John Berardi DVD. Mainly cuz my diet is my weak spot and I’m sure they would help me achieve my own goals of getting leaner.

Xvests? I peed myself again.

Can I review rubber pants?

I am very interested in becoming a tester. As a poor college student it’s a great way to get to use equipment that i could never afford in real life.

Chris,
I’d be interested in reviewing the BOA ropes or the Book of Muscle from King/Schuler. The T-Nation is a big part of what makes this site exceptional, and these reviews will be a great resource Thanks.

“If you’re a 105 pound female, don’t ask to review the 300 pound gripper.”

uh-oh Chris, you might offend a few with that one. im not gonna mention any names but there is a certain female powerlifter/bodybuilder that could probably crush those things with her teeth!

this is the new pc t-mag.

Chris,

Would love to be a part of the review. I graduated with a degree in journalism as well, so hopefully the rewview I would provide would be the stuff Pulitzers are made of!!

Chris:

Chris,
I would be very interested to read the literature provided and the use the products. I am currently working with college athletes, and am always looking for sport/position specific books and products. I would appreciate considering my interest.

Chris,

I would be very interested in testing an x-vest, as my current living situation makes this product a very attractive GPP option. Also, I would love to review any training books, whether in e-format or traditional, as I am a voracious reader. Also, my supplement budget is nil, with a 3 year-old son to take of and a newborn on the way, so any chance to use your fine products would be great. My space at home is limited, so most large-scale equipment would be difficult, but not impossible, for me to accomodate. I think the T-Jack reviews are an incredible opportunity for those of us who salivate over acquiring most of the products we read about on T-Mag, but don’t have the funds to purchase on our own. The price of an intelligent review pales in comparison to the benefits the T-Jack reviews would afford.

Chris: I’ll chime in to agree what a great idea this is! I read tons of reviews such as ConsumerSearch, to research practically any major purchase. I checked out this forum, in fact, to learn about results people were getting with Biotest supplements I was considering.

I love to write reviews, too. I guarantee perfect grammar; I aced the now-defunct SAT TSE (Test of Standard Written English) and taught writing for 7 years.

If you set up any guidelines, one characteristic of a helpful review, in my opinion, is the reviewer’s self-description of needs and priorities. For example, when I was researching a trip to Tahiti, I would read “This place sucks!” as well as “This place is heaven on earth!” It was helpful to know that the night-life-seeking partier hated it, while people who liked nature, scenery, and solitude loved it.

Ren: if you are really going to write that software, I’d love to get a copy! And maybe the code – but why C++? How about Matlab? I was considering writing my own, too, but I hate to program. I’d much rather buy someone else’s program. If you make the project open-source, I have some friends who might get involved.

I would like to review any of the products offered particularly the fat track calipers, myotape, griipers, Staleys arm training manual,or anything else i can get my hands on.
