I’m about to start the T-DAWG diet. Does the 70/100 carb recommendation include the carbs from fiber, or can I subtract the fiber from my daily carb count? Thanks!
your body can’t digest fiber, that’s why it helps to “move things along” so to speak.
If you eat a serving of peas it has 12 grams of carbs, 4 grams of carbs coming from fiber, so what your body would actually absorb would be 8 grams.
Write down in your food log 8 grams carbs and 4 grams fiber.
It’s pretty simple really.
Or more simply… no you don’t have to count fiber unless for some reason you want to track how much fiber you are getting.
