Switching Exercises Necessary?

Hi.

I was wondering if its possible to always do the
same exercises. But always doing them in a different order.
Also keeping the reps the same 4x6

Thanks.

Not sure what you mean by putting them in a different order as there are some exercises that should not be done before others. For example, you would not want to biceps before your back as this will cause your biceps to fail before your back has been fully worked. The same goes for triceps before chest as this will cause your triceps to fail before chest. There are other examples as well…

I think it would be nice to know what type of different exercises and order you are thinking of as this question leaves a lot open to interpretation which might lead to someone giving the wrong advice.

I think you should keep doing basically the same thing as long as it’s producing results, but I also think that you will eventually need to change things up to keep growing.

I’m going to have to disagree with this. I simply don’t think biceps are involved as much in back movements as your other example of triceps with chest pressing motions.

For the original question keep with the same exercises until you fail to progress, then switch, simple simple simple.

Im still wondering about the interpretation of order of exercises as the order you do them can be important.

Another example, doing deadlifts before squats would be another no no in my opinion; however, doing deadlifts after squats would be fine. I am still unsure what you mean by changing order; i only bring this up as a lot of advice you are getting is dependent on the interpretation of what is meant by changing the order of your exercises.

I wouldn’t change anything that was working unless I had an irresistible hunch that something else would work better and I wouldn’t stick with something that wasn’t working under any circumstances.

Agreed. As the saying goes, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Obviously, however, if it is broke fix it.
