What sort of ab exercises do you guys do with a swiss ball? I know a few of the basic ones. I’m looking for something unique. I’ve heard somebody talk about a “knee tuck”, I think that’s it. What exactly is that? Rest your shins on the ball and bring you knees up underneath your torso? I tried that today and it didn’t feel quite right. Thanks guys.
search the web for Paul Chek, he’s the man to check out when it comes to swiss ball work. Try Chekinstitute.com , I know it’s something like that.
i just bought a book at Borders this week called Stregnth Ball Training from Huamn Kinetics and it is pretty cool. All the exercises are for swiss balls and medicine balls. I’ve used a couple so far, but i’m trying to keep them low key in the gym I train in. I’m a trainer there and I refuse to jump on the swiss ball for everything/novelty workout that some guys are starting to do. IU use it on occasion, but where I live there are a lot of golfers and tennis people.
Some of the best information I got for stability ball training was from Juan Carlos Santana. He has a couple of videos that are by far the best resource for this type of training. You can get them from Perform Better at 800-556-7464
The knee tuck you refer to could be a Swiss Ball reverse crunch, lie on ball (on back) and hold on to something behind head, then do reverse crunch focussing on brininging hips up/forwrd in crunch not just brininging knees up. S/set with hanginig leg raises as in Meltdown.
