Sweet Pollyanna in LaLa land

Widow maker squats are kind of sexy.

Damn fine back you have there.

I heart that you heart my back. Are you going to write the alphabet on it with all your spelling mistakes?

Monday June 8, Garage

My ass was trashed all day today. I should have just stayed in bed. It started with a visit to the chiropractor who made me cry and determined that my back problem stems from my feet. He showed me some foot exercises to do. I sat on the floor of his office and he touched my bare feet. It was kind of nice.

Rack pulls
135x5
225x5
245x5
265x5
295x1
315x1
335x1/2 (I got this most of the way up and lost the grip in my left hand.)
335x0 I determined that I developed a blood blister in the palm of my left hand
225x5

DB reverse lunges
3x5x35
1x7x35

BSS isometric holds
2x30 seconds/side

Reverse band bench
w-up
45x10
65x5
bands
135x5x5

I had no gas at all tonight. I guess that’s one of the fun side affects of playing with great stimulants, you end up going past your normal levels and are almost hung over the next day. I tried to chill a bit tonight.

Tomorrow night is off and Wednesday will be a light day. I’m back in gear on Saturday trying out my new shirt.

So I played doctor on my hand. I had a blood blister and cut it open with an x-acto knife and cut the skin off and trimmed it back cutting the calluses. You know once it starts, you might as well pull it off because it’s coming anyway and the sooner the skin is exposed, the sooner you grow new skin. It stung like a whore in the shower.

Ouro… what is a BSS isometric hold?
it sounds arcane. Will I be inducted to something nefarious if you tell me? Will I get some kind of brand or tattoo behind my ear?

Soak your hand in a bowl of salt water.
It will keep the new skin clean and toughen it up.
Do you normally keep the callouses groomed a little- when I let them get to butch-
I rip one, usually on something like highpulls, or snatch grip deads.

Those are some pretty big rack pulls, that’s close to 2.75 body weight, nice work.
So I have to write the alphabet, and all the chiro has to do is touch your bare feet.

No kidding and me with a freshly ripped callous. This is the guy who’s bitching about writing the alphabet on my back with his tongue. Seriously, which one sounds like more work?

I normally try to pumice my calluses but my kids did something with my callus pumicer and I was too lazy to get a new one.

Im not bitching about writing any kind of alphabet with you…
was just amazed that the chiro gets off with a foot rub.

And about cleaning up messes, OB_s seems far far more cunning then I.

It’s all about familiarity with the local conservation area.

Last night I was woken in the middle of the night to clean up vomit. Ahhhh. The joys of motherhood.

I use a single edge razor to shave down my callouses.

No need to soak first, I just plane them down, kinda like wood shavings.

I like how you kept going after you determined you had a blood blister. You’re a true sport!

Fixed that last paragraph for ya!

Are they difficult to find? That’s not a bad idea. I get them particularly bad on my left hand.

I think it’s sweet that you know how whore’s sing in the shower.

I get them in boxes of 100 in the hardware store. Get the industrial grade stainless. It’s a great multi-purpose tool, second only to duct tape.

Thanks. I appreciate that. I’m just thinking about all the uses I could find for razor blades and duct tape.

This is what my hand looks like today. It’s not the worst it’s been by any stretch.

Put duct tape on the open sore.

Our warehouse manager gave me some of his blades. I love how no one bats an eye when I tell them what I want them for. They aren’t razor blades but it’ll do until I get some.
